Victor gave Makkachin one last hug. "Are you sure you're fine with watching him?" Yuri asked me. The two needed to go to a competition, and I offered to watch Makkachin.
"Yeah," I shrugged, "I love this dog." I crouched down and started scratching his ears.
"If you have any questions you can call us," Victor told me, and with that they were off. I was going to take Makkachin to my apartment, and they knew that, I just needed to wait for Mersy to finish class and get here so she can help me bring his things.
After and hour of playing with the poodle there was finally a knock on the door. "It's open," I called out, knowing it was Mersy. I heard her fan girl gasp from the other room.
she was running all over the place. "This I'd Victor Nikiforov's apartment," I was scared she would need to go to the hospital with how excited she was. "That's his bedroom. That he shares with Yuri Katsuki. OH MY GOSH, THOSE ARE HIS COSTUMES, AND METALS! I thought those were kept in some ice rink somewhere." I knew dhe wsd talking about the wall covered with his meats, and some of his framed costumes. He liked showing them off.
"Dude, you've held my gold metals," I reminded her, "But they ones from Grabd Prix and Continentals and Worlds are the ones kept by the government." I told her, letting her take some selfies before making her help me with Makkachin.
"That his dog!" She screamed and slidd over to pet Makkachin, "Who's going to be staying with use for a couple days. I'm going to be your plise one to the wedding right?" She was literally everywhere.
"Just grab the bag, and we can go home," I told her. I had already gathered everthing needed into one bag for her to carry. I clipped on Makkachin's leash and locked the door as we left.
"He sticks to like a seeing eye dog," Mersy commented as we walled to our apartment. "He's sleeping with me, right?"
I laughed at my friend's antics, "That's for him to choose." We got hone easily. A few kids stopped us to pet the dog, but it didn't matter, Makkachin loved attention. He really was Victor's dog. He continued to stick by my side rest of the day.
The next day he staryed crying when it was time for me to go to school. I gave him a hug before I left. When I got back from practice I found all of my friends hugging and petting the dog. "Makkachin, come here," I called him setting down my stuff. He didn't even move and inch. 'Traitor," I hissed at him.
He still found his way to my bed when he got tired. I smirked at my friends who had been moving me since I got home about the dog loving them more than me. That noght I got a text from Victor asking for a picture of Makkachin. The dog was already asleep by that time. I covered him with a blanket and put a teddybear near his paws before taking a picture before sending it to the Russian.
The next day I came home to an open apartment door. I had gotten a text from Mersy during practice saying she was going out with the guys. I was worried. "Makkachin," I called him. I didn't even hear him move.
I pulled out my phone and called my roommate. As it rang I looked around the appartment. Our computers were still there, so were our instruments. along with our TV. Nothing was stolen. Instead of my roommate actually answering, I was greeted by her voicemail. I called the guys to get the same answer. I adsumed they were in a movie. But then Makkachin wouldn't be with him.
He's a smart dog, he must have opened the door. If I was an adorable dog, where would I go? Home, of course. I left my apartment, closing my door behind me, and went to my brother's flat. He wasn't in the lobby, or waiting outside the door. I ran back out onto the streets. I was hoping he went to the park I had been taking him for him to play at. I went there and called for him, getting extremely worried. He didn't come.
I didn't know what else to do. I pulled out my phone, knowing I couldn't do it alone. "Hey Akichka," finally someone answered his phone. "Are you alright," he probably heard my soft sob through my phone.
"I lost Makkachin," I told him, finally confessing it. "I'm a terrible sister. I lost a dog! How is that even possible!" I was frantic.
"Aki, calm down," he tried calming me. I heard shuffling around on his side of the phone. "I'll hell you look for him, I'll meet you at your apartment." He stayed on the phone with me getting the whole story from me as I waited outside for my boyfriend. He hung up when he saw me. "It's alright," Yura told me, giving me a quick hug. "You're freezing, you're not wearing a coat!" He then pulled me onside and up to my apartment.
Part of me hopped Makkachin was going to be there sitting on the couch, waiting for someone to give him some pats. He wasn't. I got angry at myself and punched a wall. "Aki," Yura complained, pulling my hand close to him, "Great, you're bleeding now idiot." Over his talking I heard a dog bark.
I put my appeariently bleeding hand over my the blond's mouth, earning a pout from him. Not even a moment later there was another dog bark. It came from the apartment across the hall. I barged over and kicked open the door. To hear a flood of laughs and a dog playing with a sqeeky toy.
"Makkachin," I called over the Bron blur of fluff. My friends had stolen my brothers' dog. "I hate you guys!" I yelled at them. "I literally ran all ovet the place looking for him. Which is sorta harf to do when you can't fucking see." I barged over back to my apartment, grabbing Yura as I went.
"How many times have I told you their idiots," he teased me, which earned him a slap on the arm.
