The Sanctuary Part 3

Styles stands in front of Alpha with Konnor and the group behind him. Alpha stands up and Styles smiles wide as he steps forward but she glares to him and he steps back in line with Konnor. Konnor glances to him and he motions to Alpha.

"after you."

Konnor steps forward and Alpha asks.

"why, why are you here, on my land?"

Konnor keeps eye contact with Alpha.

"it was an accident-"

Alpha turns her head sideways.

"you've known these woods since you were a boy. you know our land and you trespass on it, your not welcome here."

Alpha stands up and walks towards Konnor and steps in front of him but Styles interrupts.

"alpha, if i may, there was a horde which forced them into the woods. we checked, its sweeping close to the sanctuary."

Alpa looks to styles.

"so you defend him?"

Styles looks to Konnor and back to Alpha as he motions to the family.

"Konnor is a useful asset to this community. he's smart, manipulative and he can get shit done."

Alpha stares down Konnor and Styles places his arm around Konnor pulling him close.

"this boy, no this man, is a survivor and he can be our eyes, our ears inside the estate."

Konnor glances to Styles and Styles smiles as he motions to alpha.

"we can't trust anyone but family-"

Styles motions to the camp

"this family, is strong, understands what it takes out there."

He points to the woods and smiles as he leans towards alpha and goes to speak but she puts up her hand and nods her head.

"the horde, the one that attacked that was not a normal horde."

Styles brings his arm down from around Konnor and Alpha sits back into her chair staring him down as she states.

"it was gathered, specifically for that moment"

Alpha stares down at her hands and rubs them together as styles looks between her and Konnor and nods to himself.

"it did seem odd, yes, a horde to appear so suddenly, our men must have overlooked it."

Alpha smiles and turns her head to the side.

"overlooked?"

Styles  steps forward and bows his head

"i take responsibility, we didn't expect it but i give you my word-"

alpha interrupts him

"a snake slithers and waits to bite."

alpha glances to styles

"do you wish to prove something ?"

styles glances to konnor as alpha asks again

"i said do your wish to prove something?"

styles shakes his head

"i'm, i'm  sorry i don't understand-"

konnor interrupts styles and glares to him

"she saying she knows you were the one who gathered the horde. what she wants to know is what did you try to prove?"

styles hand jolts as he shakes his head

"i give you my word alpha i would never do such a thing-"

alpha looks down rubbing her hands together as she states

"we do not have rules, so you deny it."

styles steps forward shacking his head.

"i deny nothing, konnor, he is like a son i would never harm him"

alpha stands and styles steps back as she nods her head

"you misunderstand konnor is his own man my concern is the sanctuary, is those supplies that have been promised to me-"

Konnor steps forward.

"Alpha the horde ruined our plan rick was ale to get the supplies-"

She puts up her hand silencing Konnor.

"I have eyes, ears in these woods do you take me for stupid?"

She leans towards Konnor and then glances to Styles. Konnor keeps eye contact and styles steps towards Alpha.

"he doesn't lie I saw that rick guy with a group-"

Alpha whistles and a few of her men bring forward a guy covered in blood. The man stands still and Alpha points to him as the man stares at her and she nods.

"speak."

The man stares down Konnor as he speaks.

"Negan showed up, our group was forced into a building where we hid. Konnor riled us up and led us to a slaughter."

Konnor smiles as he steps forward and eyes over the man. he grips a knife and jams it into the side of the man's head. He looks into his eyes and smiles as he pulls the knife out and watches the man fall to the floor. Styles lets out a small laugh and Alpha glares to him quieting his laugh down. Konnor wipes the knife off on his pants leg and glares up to Alpha.

"i sacrificed the weak for my survival. i won't apologize to anyone. Negan wasn't there it was some lackey saviors and Rick. we miscalculated-"

Alpha leans forward as she whispers.

"you failed."

Konnor shrugs his shoulders as he walks up to his mother. he stares her over and smiles.

"I'm alive so i guess i didn't fail"

He reaches into his inside pocket and Alpha men raise their guns as she motions to them and they slowly lower their weapons. Konnor takes out a key and holds it out to his mother.

"the only key to the armory at the sanctuary, this was the mission. the saviors don't have their key, they don't have their weapon. So they are pretty fucked right now-"

Alpha goes to take it but Konnor pulls it back as he stares her down.

"i want a deal-"

Alpha eyes her son and Konnor dangles the key in her face as she nods her head.

"go ahead."

He closes his hand over the key and nods his head.

"if you turn on the estate, if Mason is killed. I want it-"

Alpha turns her head sideways and Konnor holds out the key to her.

"weapons, big weapons are inside that armory, I've seen it Alpha. I want your word."

Alpha stares over the key and Konnor grins to himself as he whispers.

"Ill work for you, ill tell you anything you want. i grew up here Miya, you, this place, these people come first to me."

He holds out the key to his mother.

"your my mother after all. I just need your word-"

Alpha eyes the key over and holds out her hand motioning to it.

"you have it, if Mason is killed, the estate is yours"

He drops the key into his mother's hand and motions back to the family.

"we're leaving."

Alpha eyes the key and then glaces up to Konnor.

"don't betray me."
