Mason sits alone in a room staring ahead of him but hears a voice.

"we need to talk..."

He remains quiet and Presley closes over the door locking it in place as she stares it down and nods to herself sure of her actions. She slowly takes out the letter and shows him it without hesitation and Mason stares it down asking.

"what is it?"

Presley motions to it as she comments.

"the truth about what you did, everything, and Lewis kept track of it all."

Mason grins to himself as he mocks his dead friend.

"did he now?"

She holds up the paper and motions to it as she asks.

"I just want the truth, what happened at the community, and ill burn this mason, and ill never tell him, you have my word."

Mason gets up from his seat and stares down Presley with a sly smile as he points to her.

"I knew, I knew when I saw you, you had it, Presley, you've adapted, and grew, and I respect you, so I'll tell you."

Presley holds the letter in her hand as Mason speaks firmly.

"you know Konnor had a hand in it, but it was Lewis who helped him, Lewis who gathered up the boys, and the walkers, Lewis who helped let them loose."

Mason steps forward and pulls Presley close as he whispers to her.

"Konnor was bored Presley, and as for Lewis, well, it was just something to do..."

Mason grips Presley's face and looks down at her as he demands.

"the letter..."

He grips her neck, and she brings up her hand as he nods his head and smiles to himself. Mason walks over to a small garbage pale and takes out a lighter, but Presley begins talking asking a question.

"can I ask, why you did it?"

Mason lights the letter on fire and tosses it down into a garbage pale watching it burn as he smiles to himself. Presley approaches him slowly and he places out his hand motioning for her to stop. He strolls over to a small filled water bottle and pours some down into the fire putting it out.  Presley eyes Mason over and then shifts her eyes to the door as she goes to step to it but stops hearing Mason let out a low laugh.

"did you think that was it?"

Presley eyes the door inches away as Mason asks.

"You locked it, didn't you?"

Presley goes running forward gripping the doorknob but Mason comes up behind her grabbing her as he whispers.

"did you really think that was it?"

He throws her back and she lands hard on the floor as he shakes his head motioning to her gun.

"toss it over..."

Mason motions to the side as he demands.

"you know how things work here.  I can't take a risk that you will talk, so I have two choices here."

Presley crawls back to leaning against a couch and looks up at Mason as he nods down to her.

"you know how this has to go. you decide, loyalty, or we take a walk...."

Mason slowly undoes his gun holster fastened around his chest and places the gun and holster down on a table. he motions down to her as he speaks calmly to her.

"rules."

Presley undoes her gun holster and pushes it to her right as she nods her head and speaks firm.

"I don't want to die."

Mason walks over and slowly sits down on the floor in front of her. He remains quiet staring forward and Presley pushes herself back feeling uncomfortable under his gaze. He comments staring her over as he lets his eyes shift around her body and Presley comments hugging her jacket closed.

"whatever you do mason, just do it already. I get it..."

Presley pushes herself back as Mason crawls forward and makes eye contact with her as he whispers staring her down.

"do you, do you get it, Presley?"

He pushes back and grabs her face making eye contact with her as he whispers.

"you know what has to be done"

Mason plays with her jacket and she tries to pull it closed as he asks her.

"the alternative isn't so good, but this way we both get something.."

He pulls her jacket open and Presley pushes back as he asks her in a calm tone.

"would you prefer the walk?"

Presley stops herself and Mason looks back at the door and back to Presley as he motions to it.

"it is up to you Presley, we can go for a walk in those woods, a long, long walk..."

He taps her nose and she pulls her jacket shut as Mason asks.

"what will it be Presley?"

She glances up and Mason stares down at her as she nods her head understanding the way things are as she asks Mason.

"can I ask you something first?"

Mason leans back staring her down as Presley thinks for a second and then glances up to Mason as she questions him.

"Miya, she always warned me to stay away from you. I thought she was jealous, but she was warning me. she knew how dangerous you were-"

Mason cuts off Presley as he glares to her and leans forward whispering.

"you have no idea what's out there. the whisperers are one thing, but they aren't the Patriots. the patriots goal is reestablishing society, at any cost Presley, and this is where it comes to a decision. you are either with us on this or your against us. the Patriots will win, they always win. they have wiped out one society after another. they take the strong and they build them up."

Presley pulls back and Mason pulls her forward as he whispers and fixes her hair. She flinches away from him and he comments staring her over.

"this place still stand because they know we are strong. Lewis slipped into the Patriots just like the rat he was, but I, I plan to kill their leader, that piece of shit general. he tried to hold me by the balls, but he doesn't know what I have."

Mason leans forward and Presley pushes back as Mason whispers to her.

"you either on my side ley, or your an enemy because my side is the winning side..."
