The Patriots War Part One

The General stands with his back to the door and hears the gunfire outside as he takes out his gun and eyes the government insignia on it. He hears the pounding on the door and opens a small draw placing the gun inside a hidden compartment and eyes the notes. He takes out a small picture eyeing himself with a small child and runs his fingers on the picture.

"I am so sorry..."

The pounding gets louder and the General closes over the small compartment making sure it locks into place and closes the draw over. He stands behind his desk and lifts his rifle going to take aim when the door busts open and men in white armor step inside. He lowers his gun and eyes the men over as one nod to him.

"General North?"

The General stands there eying the Commonwealth soldiers and a man walks in wearing red armor and stares down the General as he asks.

"are you the person they call General North?"

General North stands there still eyeing over the men in front of him examining their armor and assault refiles. The man in red armor eyes over the General and motions to him.

"take him-"

The man in red armor stops as he hears loud gunfire and the General raises his gun pointing it at them.

"I don't know who you are-"

"Mercer, these are some of my best men and you would be very stupid to start a fight with us."

The General holds up his gun and the men around him do the same pointing their guns at him. The General motions to the men in red and states coldly.

"your invading, your enemies of the estate-"

Mercer shakes his head disagreeing with the man's words.

"we own the estate, the asylum they are all part of the Commonwealth"

The General keeps his rifle raised and Mercer motions down demanding.

"drop your weapon we were sent here to ensure Mason was safe. It seems a number of the communities have been attacked and we know it was the Patriots."

The general shakes his head disagreeing.

"that was Mason we were just following orders..."

One of the soldier's motions to Mercer.

"he's lying Mason wouldn't attack his own communities"

"the walkers, the guy with the walkers what happened to him?" The General motions to the men in the armor and Mercer turns back staring down his men and motions off as some walk out and begin walking down the hall. 

The General keeps his gun raised and Mercer motions to it.

"put the gun down General you will be held accountable for your crimes against the commonwealth"

The General goes to lower his gun but a bullet comes through the window shooting the General in the head instantly killing him. Mercer and his men take cover and he motions to them.

"find out where that shot came from!"

The men leave the room and Mercer hears the firing die down and eyes the dead General as he looks him over examining the man's bullet wound and shakes his head but hears a loud voice come over speakers.

"enemies of the patriots beware this is government property and we will not take kindly to intruders..."

Mercer hears a loud bang go off and feels the building around him rumble as he whispers.
