The Patriots War Part Four

Mason sits in a chair eying the fireplace and gets flashes of his dead brother and shakes his head hearing yelling from another room. Konnor stares down Presley and she yells back.

"I thought you should know!"

Mason rubs his eyes hearing them scream at each other and Konnor storms into the room.

"We need to settle this."

Konnor stands there and Mason motions to him asking.

"settle what? I thought we put the whole Miya shit behind us already."

"not Miya..." Mason glances up and looks to Presley and gives a smirk.

"you want to fight over her?"

"We need to settle this shit man to man."

"I'm not gonna fight you over who gets her. she can decide that herself."

 Konnor turns back to Presley and she shakes her head.

"Are you guys serious right now? Having a pissing contest when we have bigger things to deal with."

Mason nods his head and motions to Presley.

"ley has a point and she does like bigger things."

"fuck you..." Konnor rolls his eyes and walks away as Presley stares after him and he slams a door and she shakes her head but stops hearing Mason.

"Why did you stay? You sure don't love either of us. I assumed it was for the benefits of food, shelter but you're tougher than that. Tess didn't seem to think so but your obviously planning something."

Mason gets up from his seat and Presley steps back as Mason motions to her.

"So what's your plan, Ley?"

Presley keeps her hand on her gun as she motions to Mason but drops her hand from it as she looks up to him with a small smile.

"Maybe I just want to see how this shit ends."

Mason lets out a small laugh but lunges forward and grips her face as she cowers in fear and he whispers.

"not good for you if you fuck with me again. I don't give second chances but I am making an exception.."

Presley flinches s Mason grabs her face hard and makes her look at him as he whispers to her.

"just one exception."

She nods understanding and he releases his hold on her and Presley looks to the ground.

"what will happen to Tess?"

Mason stares off at a picture of his family on the wall and Presly asks again.

"Mace?"

He turns to her and nods his head as he thinks it over.

"she won't find much help. along this coast, Patriots have taken control of a lot of communities. she could try Alexandria, hilltop, or maybe the kingdom, as far as I know, they had minimal contact with the commonwealth since Negan was captured and Rick..."

Mason shakes his head not finishing his words and Presley asks.

"is Rick dead?"

Mason shrugs his shoulders and replies back.

"that is what the scouts said but who knows crazier shit has happened. hell, I even hear Negan is working with Michonne now helping build up Alexandria."

"do you think they're a threat?"

Mason lets out a small laugh as he glances to Presley and asks mocking her.
