Konnor stands in front of the window and glances down at the ID in his hand eyeing the picture of Senator Reid. He grips the key on the same lanyard and eyes it over. he stops hearing a voice.

"konnor?"

He turns back eyeing Presley standing in the doorway and motions to her and she walks in shutting the door over. Konnor holds up the ID card and asks.

"did mason ever mention division 8?"

Presley walks over to Konnor and takes the ID staring it over and shakes her head handing it back.

"no, i assume its government related."

Konnor comes over to a couch and sits down staring over the ID as he shakes his head.

"his dad was a senator makes sense."

Prelsey interrupts Konnor.

"we have a bigger problem Konnor-"

Konnor keeps playing with the ID staring it down but Presley interrupts.

"if you haven't noticed over half the men are missing including lewis-"

Konnor glances up.

"they aren't missing, they are with Negan, Lewis checked in-"

Presley places her hands on her hips.

"why wasn't i aware of this-"

Konnor grins as he looks up.

"because you have a big mouth."

Konnor places the lanyard around his neck and points to it.

"if i die make sure you take this off me."

Presley rolls her eyes but Konnor grips her wrist.

"it's important"

Presley goes to reply but hears a loud siren go off and watches metal plates roll down over the window. A loud voice comes on.

"1700, report to station, 1700..."

Konnor stands up eyeing the red blinking lights and asks.

"what the fuck is this shit?"

Presley looks around and whispers.

"an infection drill. we had one this month."

Konnor walks to the desk and grips a radio whispering.

"i need a report, now!"

A vice comes over the radio.

"sir, we have no idea."

Konnor looks around and clicks the radio.

"we need to kill those sirens or every fucking walker in the woods is gonna be on our ass."

konnor tosses the radio to Presley and motions.

"with me.."

Konnor walks out of the room and Presley follows behind him as he looks to all the men standing in the hall and yells.

"why the fuck are you standing there get your asses on point now!"

the men run down the hall and Konnor shakes his head and pulls a gun from his belt as Presley whispers.

"you think this is real?"

Konnor grips his gun looking around as he motions forward.

"better safe than dead Ley just keep your eyes forward and lets get to the com room and figure this shit out."

Konnor takes a right eyeing the men running around and hears the voice.

"1700 infection detected..."

Konnor watches the lights flicker and whispers.

"what the hell is this shit?"

the lights flicker and slowly dim to darkness and Konnor whispers.

"this, is bad."

Presley places her hand on Konnor's shoulder and whispers.

"what's going on-"

A voice comes over the speaker and Konnor whispers.

"is that senator reid?"

Presley whispers.

"i don't know-"

The voice gets louder.

"my patriots, today we mark the beginning of freedom from this disease"

Konnor slowly opens a door and eyes the darkened computers and hears senator reid begin talking.

"with on this day I have the cure to suffering, the cure to this infection."

Presley looks around and whispers.

"what is this?"

Konnor turns his head sideways and eyes a laptop facing away from the others he turns it around and eyes the video of Senator Reid standing in front of a large crowd. Presley turns her head sideways.

"isn't that the cafeteria?"

Konnor nods his head whispering.

"it use to be a dining hall."

Senator Reid keeps speaking as he stands on a large stage with a glass raised.

"friends, family, my fellow patriots today i share with you my greatest accomplishment."

Senator Reid holds up a large silver briefcase.

"within this briefcase is the cure for this plague and with this i will personally deliver it to the CDC and cure this country!"

The audience applauds and Konnor turns his head sideways as Presley comments.

"a cure?"

Konnor keeps staring at the video and Senator Reid nods to the audience.

"thank you, tomorrow me and my son will leave for Washington DC and deliver this case and with it free this country"

Senator Reid motions off screen and Mason walks on standing next to him.

"but today in my home we will celebrate the birthrate of my eldest son and with it my announcement for candidacy for president of the united states of america!"

the audience all stand applauding and senator reid smiles to himself as he motions out to the audience but an alarm sounds and a bunch of offers come up to the stage motioning to the senator.

"sir, we have to go, now!"

the video cuts short and Konnor turns back to Presley as she shakes her head.

"what kind of asshole throws a party and doesn't deliver a cure?"

Konnor grins as he turns back to Presley.

"a politician."

one of the boys enter the room and motions to a key he is holding.

"we went floor by floor every floors is clean."

Konnor takes the key and motions to the boy.

"we aren't lifting it, not yet. turn the lights back on but keep the barriers down."

The boy stands still motioning.

"sir?"

Konnor grins and motions to the window.

"eventually Negan's gonna come back and obviously this was scheduled for a reason."

the boy salutes Konnor and nods.

"understood we will get the lights back up and ill tell the rest of the guys to stay on post."

the boy walks away and Konnor turns to Presley.

"we need to find that briefcase."

Konnor grips the ID card and motions to it.

"i feel this has something to do with it."
