When I entered Earth, I was breathless. I fell so fast that I felt as if my skin was going to peel off, and wither away to the ground below. Speaking of which, was only getting closer, and closer as I fell. My wings flapped helplessly, trying to keep me airborn. My clothes disintegrated, and fell beside me like petals in a soft, summer breeze. Well, my clothes were made from celestial force, so I guess it was only a matter of time before they started disappearing. My wings started doing the same thing, when I was about halfway to the ground below. And it was then that I started panicking. How was I going to land? My wings were gone, and gravity was against me, right now. Did that mean I was going to hit the ground, full force? Wouldn't that hurt? Would I die? Oh gosh...I didn't want to die now, of all times. I just got here.

I closed my eyes when the ground was only twenty feet away from me -my hair whipping in my face. I expected to hit the ground, and have my bones shattered from the force, but, nothing happened. I opened one eye, and stared in disbelief at the blade of grass that was mere inches from my face. I was hovering in the air, my body gently laying itself onto the grass below. The jade colored grass nipped, and tickled my bare skin, and I looked around in awe and wonder. I appeared to have landed in a park, of sorts. Well, if the trees, and park benches were anything to go by. I looked up at the sky, which was dark, and littered with stars. So it was nighttime, then. Interesting. I blinked in wonder as I took in the unfamiliar settings -my heart leaping in my chest as I took it all in.

I slowly stood up, the sword still in my hand, and twirled around to see what was behind me. There was a small pond not too far off, the surface of the water glittering as the full moon graced it with its light. I saw a couple of ducks waddling around, and I felt a smile rise on my lips. Which, speaking of lips, mine were too babyish for me. Overly full, and pouty looking. Was that because I was the baby of the family? Ah who cares?

Finally, I looked back at the sword in my hands. What should I turn it into? A key? No, I might lose it. A book? Nah. I then felt a tingly sensation, and gasped as my hair lengthened to my waist. I watched in utter fascination as the blonde locks turned as dark as the night sky. I touched the silky obsidian strands, barely feeling my eyes tingling as well -in which I assumed were also changing colors. I never had long hair before. It felt...weird, and out of place. But, I suppose that since my life was in danger, now that I had my father's sword, that it couldn't be helped. Ah ha. A hairclip. That was less conspicuous, and it was perfect now that I had long hair. I don't think anyone would suspect it. Well...hopefully they didn't.

I closed my eyes tightly, and held the sword in my hands -my flesh tingling and intertwining with the sword's. I felt my heartbeat slow down, and I could suddenly hear the grass barely being ruffled by the breeze, and I could smell various foods from restaurants a few streets down from here. I pulled at my energy, and breathed slowly, keeping myself in utter concentration as to not break the connection. Even as I felt it get smaller in my hands, I didn't dare to open my eyes. If I had to do this, I couldn't let my mind stray. When I was sure it was done, I opened my eyes to stare at the intricate hairpin that glistened in the moonlight. I held it up, watching it change from silver to gold, before reaching behind myself to grab at my long hair, clipping it in place.

Now what? What do I do now? Where do I go? Do I sleep under a bridge, or something? Why didn't my father tell me what to do next?

"Hey! Hey naked guy!"

I jumped in fright, and glanced at whoever called me, only to close my eyes at the light that was shined in my face. I struggled to keep my calm as the man -I assumed it was a guy, I mean, his voice was pretty deep- tucked away his flashlight -yes, I know what those things are, I'm not stupid, you know- back into it's place on his belt. I blinked to get my eyes adjusted to the night again, and was finally able to see the man in front of me.
