~A/N~ Today my class had to perform a Christmas comedy that I wrote and I was one of the main characters (Shrek) and I had a panic attack before going onstage but the whole school loved it so I feel good now.
Enjoy the chapter!
Leila xxMichael (16):
You had always got along with your brother quite well, having the occasional fight as with most siblings but for the record, you were ok. He helped you, guiding you in life, and in return you supported his decisions. When he wanted to drop out of school, you helped him argue his case with his parents. From buying him a new guitar for his birthday to seeing him off on the aeroplane when he was touring, you were with him 100% for every step of the way.
But now the first true hurdle had hit, in the form of a girl. More specifically, Crystal.
Michael's girlfriend hated you, that was clear to everyone except him, and you reciprocated those feelings towards her. You weren't alone in this, as Calum, Luke and Ashton all had their own problems with her and had tried many times to encourage him to leave the relationship to no avail.
Eventually, the four of you decided enough was enough, and a meeting was called in Calum and Luke's room of the hotel you were staying in as the boys were touring.
"We are gathered here on this monumental day of sorrow-" Calum began, but Ashton interrupted him.
"Can we go a bit less funeral?"
The bassist narrowed his eyes and continued. "We are gathered here on this monumental day of sorrow to discuss Crystal and Michael's relationship."
"It needs to stop," you agreed quickly, but he held up one hand.
"All in good time, young Jedi. We mustn't be hasty. A plan must be formulated."
"Why are you talking like that?" Luke asked and Calum hit him over the head.
"It's called building suspense," he rolled his eyes as though it was obvious.
"Actually, it's called stupid-" Ashton began to argue, but Calum cut him off before it could become a full blown argument.
"Anyway, we need a plan. Anyone got any ideas?"
"I wouldn't know, I don't normally need to know how to sabotage my brother's relationship," you muttered.
"How about we lock Crystal in a dungeon far away and pretend she was kidnapped?" Luke suggested excitedly.
"How about we murder Crystal and throw her body in a lake?!" Calum said even more excitedly.
"NO!" you intervened. "Any sensible plans?"
"We could get management to break them up?" thought Ashton. "But I don't think that would work."
"How about we sleep on it?" Luke said. "We'll call another band plus Y/N minus Michael meeting in the morning and hopefully by then there'll be some better ideas."
None of you could think of anything else, so you shrugged and agreed, deciding instead to traipse up to Michael's room and spend some quality time with your brother, since you had travelled so far just to be with him.
From inside the room, however, you could hear some very strange noises. Now you weren't naïve and knew exactly what was going on, but the most distressing sound of all was Crystal's screaming, and it wasn't Michael's name.
And when you listened closer, the man definitely wasn't Michael.
So where was your brother while this was going on?
The answer, it seemed, was right behind you as a dark shadow loomed over your body and Michael was revealed, smiling as he looked at his phone and jumping in fright when he caught sight of you.
"Y/N!" he squealed. "What are you doing standing in the corridor all on your own?"
"I came to see you..." you said slowly, "but I don't think it's you in there with Crystal."
"What?"
***
The screaming match that followed was not one you particularly enjoyed witnessing, and your brother's breakdown once he had kicked Crystal out was heart-wrenching, but at the same time you joined the other three boys for celebratory pizza that evening in Luke and Calum's room."Good job Y/N!" Ashton cheered.
"You did it!"
"The witch has gone!"
"She did it to herself," you smiled. "It's her own fault. We were right all along."
"How's Michael?" Luke asked.
"He'll be fine," Calum scoffed. "Better, now she's not here anymore."
"At least he won't get rid of any of us," Ashton said happily.
"No," you agreed. "We're here to stay."
