~A/N~ I've spent the last two days facetiming Dawn and playing Papa's Pancakeria what is my life any more
Enjoy the chapter! (I had a plot for this to make it lighthearted and funny but I abandoned it and let my imagination take me somewhere weird so it was meant to be a BGM but I'm not really sure what it is but there'll probably be a part 2 to all of these)

Michael (24):
"Lady Y/N, I ask a great favour of you," said the Queen. "As leader of the Royal Guard, I feel it is only suited for you."

"Yes, Your Majesty?" you asked politely, dread filling your stomach for her tone was one of despair and caution.

"You have heard of Wizard Gaskarth, I assume?" Your heart sank at her words, and you knew where it was going. "He must be defeated. Though he has left this kingdom alone for many years, he seems now to believe it is time to act. I have received reports of many terrified villagers, and missing young girls. This cannot go on.

"Your quest is to drive Wizard Gaskarth away. I understand if you cannot kill him, for he is the most powerful villain ever to threaten us, but he must not return to the kingdom. You must also retrieve the missing girls, for their families are grief-stricken and in much pain.

"Thank you, Lady Y/N. Your task begins now, you may have as much assistance as you need."

"I won't let you down, Your Majesty," you promised, though your uncertainty was clear in your voice.

***
Unknown to the Queen, this would not be your first encounter with Wizard Gaskarth. One bitter cold night, many years ago when you yourself were just a young, innocent child not yet scarred by war and misfortune, the evil man had snuck through your window and taken you to his lair.

It was there, tied up in the dark without any knowledge of what was happening around you, you felt true fear. Terror unlike any other, creeping up your spine, breathing in your ear, running through your veins. But then, as the fire was lit to reveal the mystic purple walls and dancing potions dotted over the floor, your eyes met a pair of green ones and hope tapped you on the shoulder, brushing some of the fear away with a flick of a glowing hand.

A boy, a similar expression to yours on his face, chained to the wall. You were not alone at all, there was another, you were not alone. Wizard Gaskarth had come, he had talked, cackled, told you of his many plans though you weren't paying much attention. Keeping your eyes fixed on the green ones of this boy in the corner, you tried to block out the evil and it worked.

There were others, too, you came to realise. Other girls of your age, girls you knew, girls you didn't, all tied to various poles with eyes screaming for help. But you couldn't drag your gaze away from the green eyes of the only boy in the room bound with chains instead of rope, dressed in rags and covered in dirt unlike the well-dressed girls.

The Wizard spoke of miraculous plans, of purifying the world through its youth, of destroying the fully-grown filth that plagued your planet with so much doom. Some of the girls were sobbing, cowering away; others were paying rapt attention so as to repeat it to the other villagers upon their escape; but you, you didn't care as long as you held onto the green eyes.

And then the boy was mouthing something, and you had to strain to glimpse it.

"Michael."

"Bicycle?" you mouthed back, glancing around the room to try and find any bicycle.

"Michael!"

"My God?"

"Michael!"

"Michael?"

He nodded frantically, and you smiled. "Y/N."

Michael was much better at reading your lips than you were with him, for he got it straight away. Just as you felt you were bonding, shouts sounded from outside.

"The villagers!" a girl squealed, and suddenly the lair was filled with familiar faces of people you knew, people that loved you, and you were untied by the relieved face of your father, who slung you over you shoulder as the Wizard threw potions at the people.

But the villagers were strong, they continued to fight, and soon the lair was almost empty. The only face left was Michael's, terrified, pleading in the corner where he was still in shackles, and you screamed out for him but no one listened. Your father dragged you away as you called out for the boy, left all alone in the cave.

***
But now, it was time for your revenge. It was time to see what had happened to Michael, if he was still alive twenty years later, and teach the Wizard Gaskarth his lesson once and for all.
