Leila xxCalum (21):
I don't wanna think about a moment with you
I'm kinda hoping for forever
I've been dreaming 'bout a knitted sweater for two
Goddamnit we look good together'Friends with benefits' was never a term that ended well for anyone - there was always the inevitable heartbreak when one of you fell in too deep, or the awkwardness that followed your brief period of passion when you tried to slip back to a platonic relationship.
Perhaps that was why Calum knew that whatever the two of you had would have to end soon - if it wasn't either of you pulling the plug, it would be the distance brought about by the end of the tour. You were opening for 5 seconds of summer, and it was the most fun you had ever had but most of the fun was because of Calum.
It had been clear since the start that you had inexplicable chemistry, the two of you were made for each other, but there was the problem of being in the music industry and you both knew that as soon as the tour ended, you would probably never see each other again.
But the magnetism drawing you together was too strong to resist, so you opted for a compromise. Friends with benefits. A relationship without any strings tied.
Still, you couldn't help hurting at the thought of the day it would end; little did you know, Calum was in the same dilemma.

Would you wait a moment?
They're ringing the bell for last call
Would you wait a moment?
Just give me a second, that's all"You know what, man, maybe you can make it work," Luke tried to reassure Calum as he paced up and down the dressing room. It had been obvious to all the boys how he was feeling, and he had no need to keep it secret from them.
"You're full of lies, Luke," Calum scoffed in return, but his eyes were turned down at the corners.
"Listen, if she really means that much to you then don't hold back," said Michael. "You'll find a way."
"It's getting to the end of the tour, after this I'm never going to see her again."
"All the more reason to tell her," Ashton shrugged. "Right before the show tonight."
And so Calum rushed around nervously, trembling violently by the edge of the stage as you sidled up to him, completely ready to perform.
"Are you ok, baby?" you pecked him on the cheek, then the lips. "You're looking kind of... nervous?"
"It's just... I need to talk to you." He shuddered as your expression turned blank - that was the wrong thing to say, of course it was, now you would be worrying...
"Can it wait until after?" you asked. "I have to go onstage, like, right now."
"Just give me a second?" he pleaded, internally raging at how weak he sounded, how pathetic you made him feel.
"I can't, I'm sorry," you said sadly as one of the management team gestured violently for you to go onstage. "We can talk later."
And you walked off without another look in his direction.

Oh, talk fast, romance
Won't last I'm ok with that
Burn, crash, romance
I'll take what I can get from you"Please don't tell me you're wimping out just because she couldn't talk to you at that second," Ashton groaned. "When I said right before the show, I didn't mean as she was walking onstage."
"You don't understand, I can't," said Calum in a rushed voice. "If she rejects me, the last few shows are going to be hell. It would be better to let this romance run its course, then it'll crash and burn but I think I'm ok with that. I'm ok with this if it makes me happy now."
"But why forfeit your future happiness because you're too scared to talk to her?" Ashton pressed.
"Because at the end of the day, this is just a fling. It's a fast romance. In a month, it won't mean anything."

"Just talk to him?" your drummer pleaded as you paced around your own dressing room, down the hall from the boys. "What harm could it do?""Too much harm," you sighed. "It's best to get what I can from Calum and make the most of it before it ends in a few days."
"But what if he feels the same? I bet Calum likes you as much as you like him, and he doesn't want this to end either."
"You don't know Calum like I do. It's all for fun, it's just a fling and he doesn't feel any emotion or genuine connection behind it. It's just a romance, that's all."
