Tanya's POV

His brown eyes scrutinised every inch of my face as he seemed to search and look right through me. He looked so perfect up close. Those sharp jawlines, spotless skin, perfect eyebrows.... almost surreal. The aroma of lemon-scented soap and his soft hair. So tempting to touch. Then my fingers reached out to his face... His features started changing. Striking grey eyes, high cheekbones and an olive complexion. Thick eyebrows with a perfectly round yet small eyes. His plump lips turned into one of his signature smirk.

I woke up and shuddered. Josh. The guy I liked in my school. The guy who made a joke out of me.

Firstly, why was Sidd in my dream? Secondly, Josh? Really? He looked so different in my dream. Like his grown up version. The dream was just a replay of what happened a while ago. But Josh?... but then it kind of made sense in a way. When Sidd was so close to me, my stomach was reacting in a very weird way and my heart was beating rapidly. I was breathless. It almost felt like whenever I saw Josh... But then again Sidd is a good-looking guy. He probably had that effect on anyone. My heart had only felt that way towards Josh. And it will never feel that way for anyone else.

And besides, I have no chance with him. I vividly remember how Sidd abruptly got off me as if my skin burned him. Although it hurt a bit, I always knew I din have a chance with someone like him. After that incident, I just ran away to my room. I should call my parents...

Tanya: "Hello, Ma? Can you hear me?"

Amma: "Yes, dear. You never called us for so long you know? Were you very busy? Are you eating well? I am very worried dear, when will you come to India? We also need to find you a groo- uh, nevermind... how's work?"

Tanya: "Ma, I am fine... work's fine too. I told you not to worry about me. And I also told you that I don't want to marry anyone yet. Please don't go around looking for a groom for me, please"

Amma: "we are just worried about you dear, every woman needs a man in his life... if you do not marry now, you will regret it later. As your parents, we can only advise you... we have even compromised with you and told you that we are fine with love marriage. We will peacefully die knowing that you are safe with someone..."

Tanya: "lets not talk about this, now pass the phone to Appa"

Amma: "Okay dear....*sigh*"

Tanya: "Pa, how you doing?"

Appa: " fine dear, just worried about you"

Tanya: "pa, not you too"

Appa: " Do you like someone? You can tell us, you know?"

Tanya: "Pa, I said no"

Appa: " You can-"

I cut the phone. I was pissed. I told them. COUNTLESS times. I just didn't like it. The thought of letting someone into my world? It was just too much.
