Sidd's POV
"Seriously? A software engineer?? Why? You couldn't find any other job?" She grimaced. " BETTER than an accountant!! Like-" "blahblahblah I am not listeninn," she stuffed her finger into her ears and stuck her tongue out at me. I mentally laughed at the memory. We were currently watching walking dead; or more of she was watching and forced me to watch it too. It was not that bad actually (not telling her that). I turned to look at Tanya. Her eyes were glued to the television and it was like as if she became a statue because of medusa. She's so cute. Spending time with her was great actually. She was very funny to be honest, like behind her facade of "I'm a rude and cold person" it's a simple girl who doesn't care about how she looks but is a bit- just a tiny bit- insecure. A girl who is afraid of revealing her emotions but doesn't want anyone to know about it. A girl who isn't afraid to voice out her opinions. She was imperfectly perfect . And she allowed me to call her Tanu. AHAHA.
Then it occurred to me. I didn't tell her about something. "Um Tanu... I invited my friends over to our house," I stuttered. Did I just stutter? Actually I was forced to invite Josh and Dahlia to my house. "You keep coming to my house but I din even see your new house bro, I don't care I'm coming tell me the address," I sighed and told him. I couldn't fight with him. "Can you invite me too? " where did Dahlia appear from again? But before I could answer her Josh answered for me. "Yeah sure, why not?" I din know Josh had rights over my house.
Tanya's eyes widened. "WHAT THE HELL? YOU DIN EVEN ASK ME?!?!? THIS IS NOT YOUR HOUSE, IT'S MY HOUSE TOO, YOU IDIOT! WHAT DO YOU-" I interrupted her because she will not stop rambling if I didn't stop her. "Take a chill pill kay? You can go out and come back so you won't have to see them, they will only come around 6, it's only 4 now," I finished and sighed. She rolled her small yet round eyes. Those eyes could have popped out of her sockets. "Whatever, I'll go out now," she replied with annoyance.
"YOO SIDDD OPEN THE DOOR" it was Josh. Dear god, why do you love to mess up with me? "YOU TOLD ME THEY WON'T BE HERE!!" Tanya yelled at me. "Who's that chick?" Josh questioned. Great. Just great. Now she can't even hide inside her room or something...,,, "I donno why they are so early either," I whispered to her before opening the door.
Tanya's POV
OH MY GOODNESS WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!? Now I'll have to interact with them?!?!?! Why me. Just why. Especially when I don't like talking to people. Life sucks. Sidd opened the door and Dahlia appeared. Ew. And-
Josh.
Those striking grey eyes that peered over at me with instant recognition and ...guilt? Those eyes that tricked me. I can never trust those eyes. Everything from his high cheekbones to his cleanly shaved jaws to his maroon t-shirt which also happened to be his favourite colour to his black jeggings that looked perfect on him and every inch of him... my heart couldn't take it. Memories of all those bittersweet moments flashed in my mind and... but I can't trust him.
I was going to cry. The pang in my chest and the whirlwind of emotions and blurring of my eyes. I could feel it. But I wasn't going to cry in front of him. Wasn't going to show my weakness. Before I knew it, I ran towards my room.
All I wanted to do was hug him and feel his heartbeat beating against me. But I ran away.
