Chapter 20

Sidd's POV

     I was watching tv sitting on one end of the sofa, resting my elbows on the armrest as usual when someone plopped down on the other end of the sofa. Awkward. But she actually decided to sit here despite my presence. God bless me, she wasn't as angry as I thought. I cancelled the meeting with my friends cuz I wanted to talk to her.Okay this should be the right time. I sighed.

"I'm sorry," we both said in unison. Wait what?

Both our heads snapped up from looking down and her eyes looked slightly widened and I was pretty sure she could see my shocked expression too. I unconsciously started smiling. For what? For us saying it together? For the fact that she actually forgave me? I donno but I just did to watch as her full plump lips beautifully widening into a natural smile.

Tanya's POV

     What was I doing? Stop smiling, idiotic self. I quickly regained my composure and looked back at the tv. I could feel him watching me closely. And then he sat next to me. Like right next to me.

Nervous.
As.
Hell.

   But he only sat beside me. What was the big deal? Stop dis abnormal shit before I chop off your head. I was interrupted by the sound of someone clearing their throat. Sidd. Oh god, I must have looked so stupid. "I just wanna tell you that I only touched you to avoid Dahlia... remember I told you? I have a supposed girlfriend and I wanted to maintain that lie before she could start chasing me endlessly again... I hope you don't take it seriously. I swear I will never touch you without your permission ever again. I know it's kinda rude and I am sorry. I didn't have any other intentions, just to clarify with you. And......" his face turned a bit pale and his head turned around to meet my face. He looked down again before he continued. " I am not trying to impress you or anything, I just want us to be friends, you know? I seriously donno what else to say. I want you to be comfortable with me cuz we are gonna stay in this house together..." my eyes met his and I almost melted into his pure and innocent eyes. The next moment I couldn't control my mouth.

     " I know, I just... I am not comfortable with anyone. It's not you. It's me. And of course I know you won't ever like someone like me and it's fine. So don't worry too much but don't expect much from me," my eyes curiously peeked up to see his facial expression. His face was blank and confused. His fingers ran through his hair as he mumbled. "Umm... what am I supposed to say?..." "not supposed to say anything" I replied when his eyes widened. He probably voiced out his thoughts unconsciously. Cute. I found myself chuckling and his eyebrows cringed and he had a slight frown on his face. He looked at me with a expression that said which planet is this creature from? Why is she laughing? AHAHAHHAHA. I CAN'T.

    I stood up from the sofa turned back to go to my room when I heard Sidd saying something. " Are we friends now or what? Will we talk normally? I am so confused rn," like an adorable puppy. "Yes, we are friends and we can talk to each other," I realised I was chuckling again. Cuz avoiding him doesn't seem to make the situation any better. Because either way, I find myself getting more attracted to him. Through this, I can friendzone him and realise truly that all I had for him was infatuation. That it was nothing more.
