Tanya's POV
I was currently sitting with Sidd in the theatre waiting for the movie to be screened. There was a large box of mixed flavoured popcorn between us and I bought a coke for myself. We were sitting right at the top corner of the theatre and I already started munching on the popcorns while Sidd was immersed in the short movie being played on the screen. The light reflection of the screen shone on his face, outlining his sharp jaws and his perfect facial features. Not a pimple, no scars, nothing. Just perfect. How was it even possible? I mean my face doesn't have pimples or scars but that was because I had to apply numerous tons of cream and god knows what on my face before it became as bearable as it was now. The theatre screen blacked out and the lights dimmed and I found myself clutching my armrest. The movie didn't even start yet, you epitome of idiocy. I had to brace myself.
Sidd's POV
I turned to the sight of Tanya gripping her armrest and turning rigid. Her face showed no expression and she suddenly started fidgeting. I really shouldn't have forced her. I felt a bit sorry. "Tanya, it's okay I swear, just loosen up and enjoy the movie, it's not real anyway," I whispered as gently as I could, trying not to sound like a stupid d**k who couldn't understand her fear for horror movies (although the fact that I brought her here proved that I am one). "Um okay," she mumbled as confidently as she could but I could still see her nervousness in the fake smile that she put on. Okay I am officially a jerk. "Actually if you are really scared, we can just leave the theatre, I won't mind," I offered, because that was the only thing I could do. She looked up in surprise and her eyes showed a twinkle of gratitude before she looked down again. "No, it's fine I can manage," she replied. I don't think so. "Okay then, it's your choice," I answered back before turning to the screen.
Tanya's POV
The movie started and a boy came into view. He was alone in what seemed like a forest? I donno. HE WAS FREAKING ALONE!! WHAT?!?! Who the hell leaves their child there like that? Then- AHHHHHH!!!!!!! Shit. Sidd's head snapped to the side to look at me. Other people were giving me death glares. Oh god... Sidd's eyes were wide and he looked a bit shocked. "Are you okay?" No, I am obviously not. " Th-the clown appeared out of nowhere," I stuttered. And then the scary music started playing and I found myself breathing heavily. You are not an asthma patient, stop being so dramatic. It's not like I was trying to be dramatic. As I said, I am FREAKING SCARED of horror movies. Not my fault. nope. I wasn't even concentrating on anything. I should sleep. But I couldn't. So I woke up and- I jerked back. This time I turned to look at Sidd to see his worried face. His eyebrows were scrunched and his eyes were filled with concern. "We can go out now," he tried to make it sound like a command but I could feel his anxiety for me. But he shouldn't stop watching this movie just because I was a scaredy cat. Right? "No, I said it's fine," I replied again. He seemed a bit annoyed. He sighed and turned to the screen.
By now the popcorn finished and I had no choice but to look up at the screen. Sidd kept the empty box of popcorn on the floor to throw away later as he wanted to rest his arm on the armrest that was previously occupied by that box of popcorn.
Sidd's POV
I suddenly felt a hand grip my wrist that was on the armrest. Ouch! The person's fingernail clawed into my wrist. Oh, it's Tanya. She looked like she was about to cry. I definitely do not want to ask her about leaving because for some stupid reason she just didn't want to leave the theatre. Omggg. Suddenly her chest seemed to rapidly rise and fall. What should I do now?!? I unconsciously did the first thing that came to my mind; I rubbed her back. I could feel my fingers tingling with ... I donno it felt like it was tingling, but whatever. Her breathing became a bit more normal but she didn't seem to stop me so I thought she still needed it. My hand wrapped around the shoulder that wasn't facing me and I squeezed it to make her feel better.
