So in maim cannon, 1p Rosland spent time with Holy Rome, and by extention Chibitalia, right? Well 2p Rosland was hired by Santiago(despite them being enemies at sea, causing them to have a very questionable friendship in the future) to help raise Flavio because he was clueless when it came to children, also leading Flavio to see her as a mother figure of sorts.
So human au, Santiago is Flavio's nanny, tasked with finding a co-caretaker. After the fifth unsuccessful appointment, they're on the subway coming home, when they hear someone playing guitar and singing. They see Violet and listen to her play for a while. Then they start talking with her, Flavio takes a liking to her and Santiago offers her a job when he learns she's homeless (Aww he does care!) And then Violet gets to be happy the end.
