Zander and I were going to work on the project at his house this time. And I don't know why I'm so nervous.

"So we'll leave right after cross country." He said before walking into the boys locker room. Well ok.

After running 5 miles at practice, I changed into some red nike pros and a plain black v neck,Along with some Nike socks and black vans.

And just as I thought, Zander was leaning against his car waiting for me.

"Hope I didn't keep you long." I said opening the door.

"You did." He said following my steps and getting into the car also.

"Sarcasm Zander. Complete sarcasm." I said shaking my head. When will this boy learn. He shrugged it off and turned on the radio. When we got to his house, I was practically sweating.

"Are your parents going to be home?" I asked.

"Yup. And even my dad is, and he's never home." He said.

I took a big gulp. Oh dear.

It's not like I'm some non social person, because believe me, I'm not. Teenagers and kids? I'm great with them, but adults? Nope.

"Everything alright?" He asked raising an eyebrow just before he opened the door.

"Oh uhm sure. Just a bit nervous I guess." I said running my fingers through my hair.

"Teagan. I wasn't nervous when I went to your house." He said pointing this out like it would make me feel better.

"Yah well my mom was working! She's a veterinarian. She works 24/7." I pointed out.

"And your dad?" He asked.

I let out a nervous chuckle. "Buried about five feet under ground in the towns cemetery."

He looked taken back before he gained his composure and looked me dead in the eyes. I swear, his blue eyes were like piercing sky blue. It's seems almost impossible for his eyes to be that breathtaking. Then again, mine are a dark grey like a cluster of dust on furniture. Attractive, I'm aware.

"I'm sorry. I didn't-" he began.

I held up a hand silencing him. "It's okay. Now let's finish this project."

I've had this conversation with people before, and I'd rather not talk about it.

He let out a cough. "Ok. Did you bring a change of clothes for dinner?"

"I beg your pardon?" I said dumbfound.

"Your staying for dinner remember?" He said.

"Yah I remember what u said, but why do I need a pair of clothes?" I asked.

"My family is very formal. Especially when it comes to eating." He said rolling his eyes like even he found this ridiculous.

I looked down at my lazy outfit. Nope. Not formal at all.

"Zander these are the only clothes I have. And I'm pretty sure I don't own anything really fancy." I said, panic evident in my voice.

"Chill. Let's just go look at your house. Maybe your mom will have some nice clothes that fit you?" He said calmly.

"Ok. Yah, let's do that." I said and I tuned around and walked across the street. I pulled out my keys and looked for my home key to unlock the door. My heart sank when I remembered.
