The following week after the accident, Fiona and I were sat at out usual table in the school cafeteria minding our own business.

"So how's your mom?" She casually asks while munching on a French fry.

"She's doing well. She was released from the hospital yesterday and all she's done is sleep." I laugh.

"That's good." She said. "So how are you? How's your head feeling?"

When we had arrived at the hospital, I started feeling more and more dizzy and nauseous. Turns out I had had a concussion from falling on the ground.

"I'm good. My head is good also." I smiled.

"And how are you and...." She trailed off. I had told her about Zander and what he said to me. She was really bummed, and said that that put a little dent in out 'ship'.

"Let's not talk about that." I said changing the subject. "Do you want more ketchup?"

She nodded eagerly in response, and I let out a giggle as I stood up and walked to the components section. On the way there, I passed Rebecca and her table, which now included Zander. She glared at me, then let out a evil smirk. I kept my head held high as I walked by her, but that soon failed as I tripped over a pair of red high heels and landed on the ground.

"Oops!" Rebecca cried. "I'm so sorry. You look like you need a drink. Here." Then she proceeded to poor lemonade on my head once I sat up.

It washed down my body, making my hair stick to my face. Oh no she

Didn't.

Everyone in the cafeteria began to laugh. I felt my cheeks heat up and tears prick my eyes. I looked up at Zander, hoping he would possibly be the gentleman I knew he was and help me up, but he was laughing his butt off. Now I defiantly wanted to cry.

"Come on Teagan," I heard Eric say from behind me. "Let's get you clean."

He grabbed my hand and pulled me up, and I gave him a thankful look. We walked into the girls bathroom-after yelling that a boy was coming in-and proceeded to washing my hair.

"I'm sorry." He said handing me paper towels.

"You don't need to apologize." I said trying to get rid of the sticky feeling in my hair. "But I hope she knows that that was an act of war, and I plan on winning this battle."

He laughed. "I will help you out."

Once I did all I could to fix my hair, I decided to go home and skip cross country.

"You sure?" Eric asked for the millionth time.

"Yes I'm sure Eric. I will text you when I get home!" I said laughing at him.

"Okay," he said pointing at me, "I'll be waiting for that text."

I pointed back. "I'll be waiting to send it!" I walked down the stairs and into the parking lot towards my car. I'm glad we decided to use the back up car for the funeral. We have three cars, my car,my moms car, and the remains of out old beat up bug. So I guess we were thankful that out precious babies weren't blown up. I drove home, sending Eric a message as soon as the car stopped, along with Fiona, and headed inside to take a shower. My mom was at work, so I had the house to myself.

I didn't do anything productive for the rest of the day. All I did was play a stupid game on my old Nintendo DS because I couldn't get pass this one level on Super Mario Cart. But I felt like such a couch potato, so I decided to go to the waterfall. I quickly slipped on some red Nike pros, and a black tank top and headed out. It wasn't dark out, the sun had at least three hours till sun set. But the forest still felt dark. The trees played a big role on that part, because they were so big and packed with leaves.
