"Teagan! Where have you been? You've been gone for hours!" Fiona said as I walked through my front door.
I couldn't help the tears that were falling down my face. I feel so useless right now, but at the same time I feel the the MVP. If it weren't for me, this plan of RED's wouldn't carry out, but there's nothing I can do. I can't stop him-nice hen he has mom.
"What's wrong?" She asked. "Teagan?"
I couldn't stop crying. I was now bawling my eyes out, and Fiona was staring at me like I was a kicked puppy.
"I-you-nothing." I sobbed.
"What?" She said puzzled. "You're crying over nothing?"
I just nodded my head.
"Where's Zander?" I stuttered.
"He had to go talk to his parents. His dad called and said something about his Grandpa going to the hospital."
"Talk about bad timing." I sobbed.
"No kidding. I had to force him to at least say something to his dad. He doesn't want to leave us, but it's his grandpa!"
I just nodded my head. "Fiona, I need to find Gattaca."
"Well good luck. Zander and I waited for hours at the waterfall waiting for him."
"I need to try again." I stated, wiping away the tears.
"Okay let's go," Fiona started.
"No, this is something I have to do by myself."
She looked at me strangely. "Why?"
I took a deep breath and sighed. "Just trust me."
She just nodded. "I'll be here. Call if you need me."
I started walking out of the house, but I decided I needed to run. I needed to feel the freedom again, like I am my own person. I can do anything when I run.
After I arrived at the waterfall, I started to desperately call out to Gattaca.
There's always been a myth that Gattaca has been around for decades, and he hasn't aged. I've never believed it's true, I mean how could someone have eternal youth? However, these past few days have been crazy, and I think I finally understand.
"Teagan?" The teenager himself called out. "What's wrong."
And o couldn't help it. I cried again.
"Teagan don't cry, please don't." He hugged me tightly, trying to comfort me. "Shss, it's okay."
"You're wrong." I said. "It's not okay. And I hope that sown day you will find the strength to forgive me in you're heart. I'm so incredibly sorry."
He took an alarming step back. "Teagan?"
And I let go. All the control of my anger. All of my barricades of being happy and calm were released. And Gattaca was flown backwards and hit a tree.
* * *
My heart was aching.
I'm not sure if Zander will ever forgive me, and doubt he'll understand why I'm doing this in the first place. Fiona will be angry, and she'll probably call me a freak and mean it. Gattaca will feel betrayed, and angered. And there's nothing I can do.
There was a gray swarm of glowing lights surrounding Gattaca and I blowing and snapping at our clothes and hair. He was on the ground groaning in pain from whatever it is I did. Which to be honest, I'm not sure what I did.
