"What are we supposed to do?" I asked Zander, staring at him as he spun around in my desk chair.

He sighed. "Look for the family."

"What about Gattaca? I can't exactly give away his secrets!"

"You know some of his secrets?" He asked.

"Yeah, believe it or not we actually talk." I sighed. "Well, talked."

"Are you going to give up any of his secrets?"

"Of course not! That's why I don't know what to do." I sighed. "What about you? Do you have any ideas?"

"Well, RED said he might have a child. So we should focus on his child."

"Right," I sighed, "I don't suppose you know an evil child?"

"Nope."

"Alright. Well this puzzle isn't easy." I sighed. "We might as well give up."

"Hey now, don't give up," Zander said getting up and hugging me. "We can do this."

I hugged him back, smelling his vanilla cologne. My heart swelled at the fact we can do this without it being awkward. He pulled back and smiled at me before pecking my lips.

"We can do this."

"Yeah but everyday we don't figure this out someone dies!" I said, pressure building up and tears pricking to spill.

He sighed and hugged me again. "We can do this. You're Teagan White! You beat the record of three miles! You can do absolutely anything you want!"

I wasn't used to this whole 'Zeagan' thing. I could hug him-and kiss him!- whenever I wanted to now. The fact that he feels the same way I feel towards him is enough to make me happy for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, RED has different plans when it comes to my happiness.

"Yeah but what about the murder of our classmates? RED killed them Zander. He murdered them!" I practically sobbed. "And-"

I was interrupted by my Miley Cyrus ringtone, and I quickly ran to my desk and opened it. "Hello?"

"Teagan?" Fiona said on the line. "I have bad news."

"Fiona," I said sadly. "Listen-"

"Don't try to apologize. I'm not here apologizing to you either. But there's something you need to know." She said bitterly.

"Yes?" I snapped annoyedly. If she doesn't want to make up then that's fine by me.

"It's RED. He released a statement and I think you should hear it. Look it up on the Internet."

"Why?" I asked puzzled. "What did he say?"

"My God Teagan just read it!" Fiona snapped angrily.

I turned to Zander and told him to use my laptop to look it up.

"Who else is with you?" Fiona asked after a moment.

I rolled my eyes. "Someone. Now I got to go. This freak has more important people to talk to." I hung up the phone swiftly and huffed. So it's true, I hold a grudge.

"What was that about?" Zander asked, sending me a confused look.

I shook my head. "Don't worry about it. Now did you find it?"

He continued to scroll on my laptop as I laid down on my bed and took a deep breath, begging the world to stop spinning so fast and let me grow up like a normal child.

"Here it is!" He exclaimed. "It says that an hour ago RED released a statement saying, 'I seek for my family. My loved ones. But the thing is, my wife had taken my newborn child and hidden him-or her-from me and until I find my family, one person will die- all thanks to Teagan White. I can give you some guidance, however. My child is gifted. Look for someone who sticks out not by personality, but by looks.'" He finished reading it. "Looks?"
