So I know I said that it would be embarrassing and such, but yah it's not really haha. It's more on the 'dramatic' side. But anyways, enjoy:

Zander wasn't kidding.
When he said formal, I thought he just meant to wear a cute summer dress with your hair in a cute up-do and call it a day. But nope. I was wrong. When we got down to the dinning room, i was literally flabbergasted. A beautiful chandelier with (probably fake) diamonds hung down like icicles, and a dark oak wood table stood proud and tall directly underneath it. The fancy looking red napkins were folded in a strange yet elegant way, and the plates were fine china.
His father was sitting down at the end, wearing a grey dress shirt with a blue tie. He has brown hair with grey patches, and he's built thickly. He looks almost like a wrestler, but without a mean look and the muscles, just flab.
His mother had changed from her cooking clothes to a beautiful red dress that stops at her knees. She had the brightest smile on her face when she saw me.
Even Zander's little brother was dressed up. The kid is two. TWO. He's wearing a pink dress shirt with some khaki shorts.
I tug at my dress feeling insecure in it.
Zander leans over and whispers in my ear, "So my dad can be a little...rude at times, so just bare with me." His voice sends shivers down my body as his breath tickles my neck. Boy that felt good.
I gulped. Get it together Teagan. Let's rock and roll.
I nodded, and we continued forward.
"Hey dad." Zander said pulling out a chair. I began pulling out my chair when Zander coughed. I gave him a look like 'What you want bro?!' When he looked at the chair he pulled out.
O-k. What about it. I gave him a puzzled stair when his eyes said it all. It's not like I don't have manners, because I do. It's just that sometimes I don't have a filter on my mouth and my mind goes blank when I'm nervous.
"Oh-right!" I said. "Gotcha" I sat down in the chair he pulled out and he pushed me in like I didn't weigh over a hundred pounds. Man this guy must work out.
"Guys, this is Teagan. Teagan, this is my dad, Mr. North" Zander said pulling out his chair and sitting in it.
"Hi." I smiled and gave a nervous wave.
He glared at me before he grunted a reply of "hey." Mrs. North seemed to have noticed her husbands behavior because she chirped in almost immediately.
"So Teagan, how are your parents?" She asked. "Your mother and I should should have a chit chat! We could go to Teavana and test out teas together!" She said with glee. "Oh, wouldn't that just be marvelous?!"
I laughed and nodded, "I'm sure she would love to." I looked down at my meal. Freshly cooked salmon with rosemary sprinkled on it, with a side of mashes potatoes and salad. Yummy.
"Oh what fun! And your father-" she began about to trail on about things they could do together.
"Mom-" Zander cut in.
"Zander it's impolite to interrupt. But anyways, your father and Mr. North could head over to the local bar and watch all the sports games! And go bowling! Who doesn't like to go bowling? Does your father like to go bowling?" She questioned. Wow this lady can talk.
"Mom-" Zander tried to cut in again.
"What kind of man doesn't like to go bowling?" Mr. North grunted in disapproval. Okay, that was rude.
