((Thank you for being patient for the update!)).

"Drive faster!" I yelled into the phone. Eric was on the other line while he drove as fast as he could towards my home. After I received that text from him, I called him immediately and demanded that he come to my house to talk. My stomach had butterflies bouncing around like they drank a hundred coffees. My palms were sweaty and I casually wiped it on my shorts as Fiona stood next to me and sent encouraging smiles my way every so often. I would just nod my head. I'm nervous, that's a given. But why? I have no idea. I should be happy, excited even, that I finally get to figure out what he's mad at me for; and who knows? Maybe our friendship will be restored.

"Eric, if your not here in the next three minutes I will personally hunt you down and-" Fiona spat.

"Just please hurry." I said.

"What do you think I'm doing?" Eric said into the phone. I hear a horn in the background. "Hey! Watch where your going!"

"Well if I didn't know any better, I would think your racing a turtle-and the turtles winning." I said with an eye roll.

"Yeah yeah." He muttered. "Okay I'm pulling into your driveway. See you soon." He hung up the phone.

"Are you ready?" Fiona asked with an excited smile.

"No." I said honestly.

Someone walked through the front door and I almost ran away. I'm ready to know, but I'm also not. What if I actually did something offensive to him and he doesn't accept my apology? What if what I did was so horrible that even I can't forgive myself?

"So," Fiona said as she sat down on the couch as Eric sat down also, "why is Zander mad at Teagan?"

"Well," he began, "So you know how he's dating Rebecca?" We nodded our heads. "Well apparently she told him that you only became friends with him because he's adopted. She practically told him that you pity him and that's why your his friend and that that's why your so sweet to him." He took a deep breath.

I stared at the ground, anger swelling around me in waves crashing against my skin. So Rebecca is the reason he practically hates me. She knew with me around there was no chance she would get him, so she took out the competition as if I were a soldier in battle. She fed him lies about me, and he despised me. But for her plan to actually work, he would've had to believe her? Did she get him drunk and then tell him? Or did he actually believe her? I felt my anger turn to disappointment. He believed her, after all the things we've told him about her. She can never be trusted, nor can you rely on her for anything. I felt betrayed, and at the moment I wanted nothing to do with Zander and Rebecca.

"I knew that little bi-" Fiona began.

"Stop." I said. I turned to Eric, "Where is she?"

"She's at the small cafe with him. Well, where everyone is. Well actually Brandon is at his Grandmas, but other than that."

I didn't care if practically everyone was there, I needed to talk to Rebecca-now. I grabbed my keys and ran to my garage. Ignoring the fact that I was still wearing my running clothes, I put the key in the ignition and started the car, zooming down the street towards the cafe. When I arrived, I stormed in looking around. I spotted her, sitting by a group of guys and ran towards her. I noticed, though, Zander was no where in sight.

"Rebecca." I snarled.

She eyed me up and down before she laughed. "What do you want loser?"

"You lied." I snapped. "You manipulated Zander into thinking that I pity him for being adopted."
