Everything felt so numb. Everything felt so dizzy.

Your head was spinning. Tears and sweat formed endlessly. And blood stuck to your face and clothes.

Your breathing was a heavy mess of trying to intake oxygen and refusing to breath each time pain dulled your consciousness.

"Please...stop," by now you practically begged Wenqing.

You had no idea what was happening, how you got here, why you were here, so why in the world did you have to endure all of this? What sick play was this? You just wanted to go back home. You just wanted it all to be over, hoping it'd be a dream, hoping it was all in your head.

"Stop...please," you mumbled over and over again until finally the pain stopped, pulsating with each contact your skin made.

"Looks like you've been trained very well," Wenqing changed his wrappings.

"I already told you... I've no idea," your whisper reached his ears.

"Don't play dumb with me now, are you from Celestial Bright? Did they send you here as a spy?"

"No... I don't know who they are," the tears rolled down to your lips making you taste the saltiness.

Celestial Bright...haven't I heard the name before? Weren't they the enemies? I need to turn this situation around somehow, I need to get out of here alive!

"I came from the outside," you huffed out in between your suffering.

"From the outside?" Wenqing seemed interested, he gripped you by the hair and made you look up to him.

"Such a waste," he narrowed his eyes,

"Speak."

"I'm not from here, I'm not affiliated with the war nor am I planning to, so if you just pleas-"

"Spare you?" Wenqing raised an eyebrow and let you go.

"If you heard about the war, you are bound to know more, there's no way we can take any risks. Everything has to be done thoroughly."

You could barely stop yourself from making a panicked sound, your last hope, your last card was just played like this without even the glimpse of a chance.

"Didn't I say not to disturb?" Wenqing's harsh voice pulled you back to reality. A masked man stood, cowering at the door.

"I-I'm sorry but it's urgent!"

"And what would be urgent enough to disobey my orders?"

"B...B-Boss Wenzhou has come!"

"What?" a scowl appeared on Wenqing's face.

Wenzhou...? , you lightly raised your head, wasn't he the lunatic boss?

Your fear grew, you had at least hoped not to meet him.

"Who allowed him to come in?"

"B-Boss we underlings do not have the permission to deny the access of another faction boss."

"Fine," Wenqing rubbed his nose,

"let him wait in the strategy room. I can't let him come in here and find out-"

"Find out what?" at the entrance stood an elegant dressed man with a smile on his face.

"I did not allow you to come in here," Wenqing gave him a dark stare.
