A new event for the Glory world?

For the pro gamers to get together and for the audience to watch?

With new content and a new format?

What was that? Was everyone dreaming? Why did the Glory Alliance decided to do this all of a sudden?

The news were posted all over the Glory forums and esports magazines. You sighed when you looked at the invitation next to your laptop.

Why did you have to attend? Will you meet the others again? 

Will you...be meeting Ye Xiu again?

You felt heat rising and immediately needed to open the hotel window to cool yourself down. You should stop thinking about it, stop thinking about him. 

The event was pretty far away from where you lived, so the Alliance arranged a place for you to stay. Invites were only given to certain pro players who fit into the categories determined for this event, so not everyone was invited. What kind of categories wasn't clear for you.

Since you have no computer and your laptop wasn't good enough to play games on as well as the internet connection was really bad, you headed to the event stadium to use the practice facilities they've set up. 

You greeted the other pro players already practising and sat down while quietly peeking around to see if Ye Xiu was there but he wasn't. Disappointed, you immersed yourself in the game.

5 minutes before the start of the event and you could hear the whole stadium filling up with the audience and noises. For some reason, you were quite nervous. Maybe, because the event organiser refused to leak any detail about what was going to happen! He just put his finger on his lips and winked at everyone, causing some pro players to be petrified on the spot.

Well done!

You applauded him with a straight face. If you had to fight against the others, it'd be your benefit if that effect was going to last for a while.

Suddenly, a loud voice roared across the stadium, and you were sent on stage to seat yourself.

"Welcome, everyone! Are you looking forward to this new ultimate event?"

Positive shouts filled the place.

"The Alliance has decided to create this event with you fans in mind-"

The screams reached new heights.

"I can hear the excitement, so now I will reveal what we have in mind for everyone. Not even the pro players know what's going on! This is how super secretive and amazing the event is!"

You looked around and your heart almost dropped to the floor. Ye Xiu! He was here! And you stared directly at him! He waved at you, you instantly turned around and looked into the mass of hollering fans.

"So," the host paced up and down the stage, a huge smile plastered on his face like he was the biggest fan of all this.

"I introduce the 2 vs 2 format! Yes, you heard right, it'll be 2 against 2! And not just 2 pro players against 2 pro players but each pro player is going to team up with someone from the audience and play against the other team!"

The audience was in a high and the pro players were confused but hid it behind their smiles. 

"You will be playing with your favourite pro players who are here on stage, thanks to you guys voting for them!"
