A quick glance in the mirror.

A quick check in your bag.

A last turn to inspect your apartment.

You were ready to go and finally arrived at your favourite spot.

The same familiar sight greeted you, and you greeted it back with a smile and nod to yourself. Subtle you looked around, pretending to find your seat. However, you knew where it was.

How many times have you been here before? How many times have you requested the staff to give this spot to you? They now did it without you having to bother them.  You brought out the weapon that enabled all of this, and slowly, carefully stuck it into the device.

The big letters appeared, making you jiggle in anticipation. Then finally, a few rows in front of you, the sight you have been waiting for the whole time. Your heart danced in happiness, heat tainted your innocent cheeks and your mind raced back and forth.

There he sat. His black hair covering half of his tired eyes, the cigarette loosely in his pretty mouth, his hand in his ruffled hair, and you couldn't take your eyes off him. You almost drooled at the sight but suddenly his eyes met yours and panic overcame you. You quickly hid behind the computer.

That was close. You calmed your racing heart. Hopefully, it was just a coincidence and he didn't actually saw you. With trembling hands you moved the mouse, feeling the texture of the hard plastic a bit too much. Restless.

You felt too restless and your breathing was short and abrupt. Up until now, you've never been so careless. You visited the internet cafe all the time even though you have a computer at home, all to just see him playing.

You've never been caught like this before. You finally knew what it was like living on the edge. It was too reckless of you. Thoughts swam in your mind, overfilling, overflooding it with paranoia.

For the next hour, you kept your gaze on your screen, not daring to look at him even once. However the price you paid for it. Self-control was hard, your brain ordered all the muscles in your whole body to move, move and look at him. Just a glance, just a little peek.

But in the back of your mind, you felt that if you risk looking at him, he would stare right back. So you could only endure and listen to his sweet voice mocking everyone around him. You could imagine him wearing that little smile of his and you subconsciously drowned in happiness.

"Where are you going?"

You heard voices, it sounded like Chen Guo's. Everyone knew the boss of the internet cafe. Pretty and hot-headed.

"Toilet," Ye Xiu answered briefly and your heart just went to be stolen by itself.

You sighed. What was wrong with you? Today your feelings for him intensified by at least ten times. That was more than a crush now. That was completely infatuation. Shaking your head to get rid of the thoughts, your view fell dead on your screen. It moved on its own, your character!

A ball of smoke appeared behind you. Surprise this time caught your body and made you want to jump up slightly but you refused to submit to the urge. You turned to stone instead. Sweat drops rolled down your face. Your mind was blank. You hoped with all your might it was not what you thought it was.

Yet it was what you thought it was. A light chuckle reached your ear far too close. You wanted to turn from stone to jelly. To a delicious jelly, he would eat and savour. Your mind went blank once again and you slapped yourself for thinking that.

"No reaction? The previous one of you hiding was way better than being petrified," his voice filled your head.

No words came out of your mouth.

"It was actually really cute," the words echoed in your mind.

"I... I don't know what you are talking about," confidence failed you.

"You don't?" his weight disappeared from your back and out of your eye corners, you could see him sitting next to you. Your heart thumped, your brain rejoiced and released endorphin for your whole state to endorse in.

You were actually talking to him. Actually sitting next to him. That was too much for you to handle. It was a wonderful death shrouded in bliss. That was how you wanted to end.

He rolled the chair closer to you. You tried to scoot away but he held you back. You squirmed.

"You shouldn't run from me."

No, you don't understand, you whined in your mind, if you're any closer, I'm really going to die! You don't want to end up as murderer either, do you?

You could see the headlines in the newspaper, the most embarrassing one ever:

Innocent shamelessness wrapped with erotic handsomeness prompted the death of a fan

"How long have you been playing Glory?" Ye Xiu stared at your profile.

"Hmm," you were too immersed in your own death to give him a proper answer.

"I reckon, as long as you've been stalking me."

It clicked. A bit angry, a bit flustered you turned to him. Even if you liked him, you couldn't let him just assign a label to you just because you didn't say anything.

"I was just joking," he said before you could even release the storm of words you had for him which probably wouldn't have ended up well anyways.

"Don't look so down," Ye Xiu actually laughed and patted your head.

What was that? Why was he so nice?

"You actually need to pay me back for the time you stole. Ah I know," a little smirk appeared, "how about helping me to steal from some guilds?"

Your face dropped.

"Move to my place, I'll show you what you can do for me."

You actually wanted to refuse.

"Or don't you fancy me?"

Your cheeks burned up.

"You are exploiting me."

"Maybe or maybe not, you decide," Ye Xiu stood up, "I'll promise it'll be worthwhile."

He walked over to his place, leaving you conflicted if you should help him or not, but did a God really need your help?
