"I can't believe you want to exploit your own son," you crossed your arms as you sat on the bed listening to Zhang Jiale's plan.
It was already past 10 pm when Jiale suddenly climbed into the bed and excitedly shared his idea with you.
Your son Zhang Ran was currently sleeping over at his friend's place, leaving some rare alone time between you and your husband.
"But it's a good thing, isn't it? I mean that skill, no that talent of Aran's should be put to good!" Jiale crawled next to you and held your hand.
A cheeky grin on his face. His black hair tickled the back of your hand as he held it up to his lips and pressed a kiss on it, but you remained adamant.
"Not, it's neither skill nor talent. It's literally pushing luck. Too many times and misfortune will befall Aran or us all. You can't take it too far," you narrowed your eyes as Jiale came even closer and put his head on your shoulder.
"My beautiful wife, it's just this once, please~" he intertwined your hands and his grin widened, then he even had the audacity to try to sway you by nuzzling his head against your neck and acting cute.
You sighed and pushed him away, firmly saying," No."
"My wonderful and gorgeous wif-"
"No amount of flattering can change my mind."
Jiale held your face with his hands and turned to look at him, then he gave you a pout and his best puppy look.
You couldn't admit but you were surprised. This guy. Really. He wanted to exploit your son this much? To the point he'd even act cute?
Seeing that he couldn't go far, Jiale clung onto you even more and then said, "How about this? We ask Aran and let him decide himself."
Zhang Jiale looked pretty proud of himself before you shot down his hopes, "He's 5."
"So?"
You couldn't argue with him and finally agreed, "Fine, if he wants to do it, then I won't stop you."
"I knew it," Jiale pulled you by the waist, "My wife is the best."
He kissed your neck before pushing you down, "My wife deserves a reward."

"Did you have fun?" you pushed Zhang Ran's messy hair out of his slightly sleepy face after Jiale drove him home. The three of you sat on the sofa while Jiale couldn't keep his excitement down. You ignored him.
"Hmm, very good," Zhang Ran softly said and smiled.
"So playing all night?"
"No," Zhang Ran shook his head and his black hair flew around, "We played until 10 and then went to bed. Lulu's mum and dad made sure."
"Ok, ok," you kissed Zhang Ran on his forehead and stared at Jiale who desperately wanted to talk. It seemed like Jiale waited until they got home to ask in front of you.
"Seems like your dad want sot say something," you finally allowed Jiale's turn to occupy Zhang Ran and tell him of his stupid plan.
And of course, Zhang Ran was such a good son, he couldn't refuse his father, especially not those sparkling eyes despite your glaring ones. In the end, you had to give up.
"Mummy, it's fine," Zahng Ran's little hands patted your cheek trying to coax you, "We can accompany dad. He's lonely."
Well, apparently Zhang Ran got that wrong idea. WIth a smug you looked at Jiale who put on a pitiful expression. You still didn't forgive him for the night before. Your body was still sore.
The place Jiale wanted to go was a festival but not to play around and ea and drink, no all these attractions weren't on Jiale's mind. The thing he sought after the most were the prizes of all the lotteries the festival hosted.
Jiale was always unlucky. Especially as a pro player he was pretty... unlucky. On the other side, your luck was pretty normal, meanwhile Zhang Ran's luck was just... godsent.
Zhang Ran always got very lucky and this very fact Zhang Jiale wanted to exploit.
Winning all these prizes through his son made Jiale unbelievable proud and he felt like his son's luck was his. This was just literally pushing Zhang Ran's luck, that was why you were against it.
"This is the last time," you exhaled as the buzzing festival appeared in front of you.
Zhang Ran seemed to be a bit too tired to enjoy the festival and your body was too exhausted, so only Jiale was looking forward to it.
Taking Zhang Raa into his arms and holding your hand, Jiale dragged you to the first event. It was a typical festival game. If you win you could win something like a grand prize- a new phone.
"Aran come try," Jiale pushed Zhang Ran to play and -
"Congrats little player, you've won the new phone!"
Then the next stand- "Congrats! You got a trip for three to Hawaii!"
And the next- "Amazing, boy! Here's your prize! A brand new car!"
The next- "A horse!"
"A new house!"
"A new-"
"STOP!" you got frustrated.
What the hell was this? Was that stop unreal? Who in the world offers these prizes so easily?
Jiale twirled Zhan Ran in his arms around, happy about the wonders. Actually Jiale didn't care about the prizes, he just wanted to experience what it felt like to be lucky, so he continued to drag you alone.
And so after all the stands, at least 30 new prizes were brought home.
"Aran you made daddy very proud!"
"I'm glad," Zhang Ran yawned and slowly fell asleep.
Jiale put him to bed while he pushed on yours, "Wife, thank you for such a wonderful son."
You rolled your eyes but couldn't help giggling as Jiale embraced you and then kissed you deeply.
