"Just a little bit more," you huffed in exasperation, your voice meshed with the wind and disappeared in remoteness.

Itchy pain spread through the nails of your fingers to the palm, following your skin under your light shirt. Snow dampened the thin textil of your shoes. Coldness scratched at your pants relentless. One leg covered your other while you tried to take another step forward. You fell down.

Tears fell on your red hands. Repellent wetness soaked into your knee area.

"Just a bit more," you begged, lips already frozen.

Just a little bit more, your consciousness started to fade.

You quickly shook your head, you needed to stay awake. You slowly mustered strength and pinched your thighs but they were already too numb to feel anything. Pain cursed through your head as you forced yourself to stand up and walk towards the scenery change that you could finally see with your bare eyes.

You just focused on walking fowards with your head down staring at the white fluffy ground.

Plop

Plop

Plop

The sound drew nearer but yet floated somewhere far away. You didn't care about it though, your consciousness was barely hanging in there. Suddenly you ripped your eyes open. The wind blew in your face merciless as you stared straight at the horizon.

A relief of warmness blazed on your cheeks until it rolled down your throat and mingled with the wet clothes of yours.

It's over

Waves flooded your shoes, the dark blue of the sea built the perfect base for snow to whirl above it.

It's over

Nothing but the daunting realisation took over your senses. Slowly you felt your body staggering backwards.  You felt your bones vibrating upon the contact with the ground.

And as you laid there, pain mixed with sadness, and hatred numbed your perception. The sky was just a mess of white flakes, it felt like there was no sky at all.

A mask. Smoke.

Subconsciously you reached out your arm.

Ahh

Your hand plumped down, lifeless. Your pathetic attempt made you feel worse.

A strong grip got hold of your body. Recklessly you were made to stand up, with half-lidded eyes you could still catch a glimpse of another sea that disrupted the stormy one behind.

A sea of masks.

A sea of uniforms.

A sea of ...

Everything went black again.

"Hey, wake up, wake up now!" water dripped from your head down your stinging cheeks.

First thing that came into your view were your bare legs, then your view moved up and you came across a mask again.

"Ma...sked man," you mumbled, not quite sure what you were saying.

"Hey, it's awake," the masked man talked to another one of his kind.

It?

Tiredness and coldness made you want to fall back to unconsciousness. However the rough shaking immediately caused pain to surge through your body. You shot up.
