As promised last time I'll release the few chapters I've written for the AU 'What if they aren't pro players? What job would they have?'

This was also previously requested by prosenpoetry!

Hope you enjoy!

"Ye Xiu, you are finally here? I thought you'd be slacking off again."

"Haha, boss, don't say that. When have I ever?" Ye Xiu scratched the back of his head as he put out the cigarette.

The middle-aged male in front of him also smoked, "You really wanna know? Just yesterday, the day before and oh- have I mentioned all the previous days?"

Ye Xiu smiled, "But you still need me."

Ye Xiu pulled his jacket tighter as a gust of wind came. Ye Xiu and his boss were currently standing in front of the entrance door to the company.

"Damn. You're lucky. You're the only one who can deal with these pesky flies of customers," the boss put his cigarette out, "Anyways, do your job."

"I always do," Ye Xiu smilingly followed the boss inside.

"You're really shameless, huh."

"It's my lovely nature," Ye Xiu walked through the sleek black hallways while his boss turned right and entered his, "Alright, Manager Ye Xiu, save your comments to the customers."

Ye Xiu held his hand up and walked to his office. It was a large room with four other staff who worked under Ye Xiu. The room had four tables facing each other while Ye Xiu's table was at the front overseeing everyone.

"Manager," the staff greeted him as he walked in.

"Morning, is there any coffee left?"

"JJ downed all of it and now he's relieving himself," one of the staff said.

"I see, tell him to hurry up," Ye Xiu was used to this. Despite his staff being careless, they were still pretty good talents.

Talents as in harassing and annoying people and Ye Xiu was the top of the top. The best in the whole company. No one dared to doubt his skills.

Actually, Ye Xiu applied to become a network manager but after doing the interview, the interviewers were so impressed and annoyed due to Ye Xiu's mouth. Ye Xiu had enough knowledge of computers and easily excelled at the job specs but the interviewers thought it was best to put him into another job where he can use his blunt nature as his weapon.

Social media manager. To deal with all of the trolls. But not only that, Ye Xiu was also the customer support manager, taking care of the undealable customers. And frankly, he was really good at his job.

The higher-ups were impressed and so were Ye Xiu's colleagues. Thus he was branded the 'Devil of Customer Support' in short 'The support Devil'.

Bing.

Ye Xiu took off his jacket and turned on the computer. There was already a customer asking for help or rather a furious complaint and request for refund.

Ye Xiu's long and beautiful fingers swept across the keyboard.

"Hello. How can I help?"

"Hello, I recently bought your company's hardware and it's not working."

Ye Xiu sighed and pulled out his cigarette pack. He was debating if he should smoke to get rid of the oncoming headache or not.

"Manager, don't smoke here! How many times I gotta tell you?" one of the female staff scolded Ye Xiu.

Every time he smoked, it'd stink of suffocating shamelessness. That was right. The moment Ye Xiu pulled out his cigarettes, everyone knew the bullying would begin.

"Can you please describe your problem?"

"Of course, I put the hardware in and it doesn't work."

Ye Xiu's face blanked.

"Where did you put it in?"

"Obviously the computer!"

Well, the 'obviously' wasn't that obvious.

"Have you tried installing it?"

"Do you think I'm stupid?"

"I'm sorry, dear customer but I don't know you in person but from our conversation, the answer is yes."

A second passed. Another. Ye Xiu saw the other side typing and really took out a cigarette. Smoke helped him to calm down.

"Boss, Mei Mei's going to be angry," a male staff took the cigarette out of Ye Xiu's mouth. Ye Xiu helplessly smiled and shrugged his shoulders, "Can't do anything about it. I'm dealing with stupidity."

The male sighed, "Someone get JJ, boss' about to unleash hell. Get the leash for boss so-"

Ye Xiu sighed and turned to the computer again.

45 missed messages.

Well... Ye Xiu was used to this. It wasn't the first time more like the millionth. Ye Xiu skipped all of the messages and just typed, "Customer, have you installed it now or not.?"

50 more messages appeared.

"Profanities aren't allowed. Please refer to the guidelines."

Instantly a message popped up, "Fuck your guideline, you squid! You damn stupid! I'll report you and your company! I'll leave bad reviews everywhere! Customer service? What fucking customer service? More like damn insulting service! If I want to get insulted, I would've gone to my fucking mum you **** ****"

Ye Xiu typed, "Have you tried shutting the computer on and off?"

60 more messages.

"Because I'll be shutting this chat off and when I turn it on, hopefully, you and your problem disappear. Have a good day."

Ye Xiu knew he's going to have to face his boss again about the complaints. In the first place, the customer asked if Ye Xiu thought they were stupid, so Ye Xiu was only honest. He took a screenshot of the conversation.

Then he went on the social media sites and posted extracts of the customer's reply, "Everyone we love to help you, however, we do not tolerate rude customers like this. Please do not insult us or question our IQ. Real human beings sit behind the screen" and etc and more bullshit.

Even though Ye Xiu was the first to insult the customer's IQ, he made it seemed like he was the victim. Truly shameless.

And so a typical day in Ye Xiu's life passed by. Just another simple day of the Support Devil!
