"Who are you?"a tilted head covered your view.

His blonde hair fell over his face and made him blink unrestlessly before he finally decided to stand back up properly.

You didn't answer.

"Steamed Bun, don't bother the AL," Ye Xiu waved his hand to shoo the long-haired guy away.

Quite a peculiar name, you thought as Ye Xiu told you to follow him.

Their base was so much brighter than Dark Tempest's. Instead feeling like you were underground, which it was, the place was designed like a little floating castle. Floating in the sense that it seemed like it was placed on clouds, if you looked from far away. The base on top of the mountain truly fitted Celestial Bright's image.

You could hear Steamed Bun following you and humming and when he caught up to your pace, he gave you a smile and asked with the innocence of a child:

"What's your horoscope?"

Perplexed you just stared at him and couldn't bring out a word.

"Huh? Can't you understand what I'm saying?" Steamed Bun gave you a side look and waved his hand in front of you.

You were skeptical, he might be acting innocent but you knew better. In fact it could turn out that everyone here was way worse than those in Dark Tempest. No matter what step you would make, you had to do it with the utmost carefulness. You didn't want to feel any pain, any suffering ever again.

"Mucheng, take care of AL," Ye Xiu was talking to a beautiful female who sat behind a desk which seemed to be in Ye Xiu's office.

Mucheng looked up from her computer and as her view fell on you, she gave you a bright and warm smile. You instantly felt welcome.

"AL we'll talk after you feel better," Ye Xiu sat down on the chair and took of his coat before he started to work on the computer.

You didn't say anything and followed Mucheng and of course Steamed Bun in tail.

"Steamed Bun, what are you doing? Get back to your work," Ye Xiu quickly said once he realised that Steamed Bun's focus was fixated on you.

"But Boss, the AL is my work!"

"What?" Ye Xiu, Mucheng and you were all equally confused.

"Ah, whatever," Ye Xiu sighed and let Steamed Bun do what he wanted.

"AL!" Steamed Bun excitingly ran after you.

"AL!" Steamed Bun excitingly watched as Mucheng gave you new clothes.

"AL!" Steamed Bun excitingly shouted as you closed the bathroom door right in front of his nose.

"AL!" you could hear his voice even in your little safe warmness of a bath. You finally felt as if you could relax.

Everything went so fast and out of control. Just this morning you were still in your room and going through your day normally and suddenly you woke up in this place where you almost froze to death, beaten and threatened, chased and then found by these guys who seemed to be nice.

You dived your head under the hot water and screamed with all your might. Tears wanted to melt with the water but you refused to let them form. You collected yourself, your only goal was to get out of this place as soon as possible and get back to yours.

"AL!" you were greeted with Steamed Bun's excited face as you came out of the bathroom all changed and refreshed.

"Looks good!" Mucheng approved and showed you to the dinner place.

Steamed Bun was keen on teaching you how to use cutlery because he still thought you couldn't understand anything he was saying. With his brute strength he almost pierced the table and got scolded by Mucheng. You actually laughed, this place didn't seem to bad.

"So have you finished?" Ye Xiu came to bring you to his office again.

"I wanted to have a nice private talk with you alone," Ye Xiu smiled and then sighed,

"and with Steamed Bun."

You gave the blonde guy a glance, why was he following you around like a puppy?

"AL, how do you enjoy your stay here?"

"It's quite nice, better than Dark Tempest," you brought out a light smile.

"Oh," Steamed Bun jumped up,

"so you can speak!"

"Steamed Bun don't interrupt," Ye Xiu focused his attention back to you.

"Let's be frank, I get your situation. Mo Fan told me, apparently you don't know about anything but AL let me tell you, unfortunately I can't let you go. Don't worry, we will treat you right, as one of us but as much as you think you have nothing to do with the war as much as I believe that you have more importance to this than any of us. For you see, with you being on either side means victory. Fortunately, Dark Tempest didn't realise who you are yet."

"Wait, stop!" you jumped up like Steamed Bun and stared down at Ye Xiu.

"What do you mean you can't let me go? What do you mean I have something to do with the war? Do you think you can just keep me here? Do you really thin-"

"I think I'm giving you a better option than Dark Tempest did."

"Why? Why am I supposedly to bring victory to a team?"

"Why? It's simple, because you are the AL."

"What does AL even means?"

Ye Xiu didn't answer and simply smiled, then he turned to Steamed Bun:

"Continue doing your job as AL's bodyguard."

"What?" you thought you didn't hear right.

"Of course!" Steamed Bun nodded in obviousness.

So from the beginning he was tailing you?

This guy, Ye Xiu, is more sly than he looks. Fooling me from the beginning and he, you narrowed your eyes at Steamed Bun, was just acting all along?

"I'll brief you in about our stance in the war tomorrow," Ye Xiu said and wished you a good night.

While being dragged away by your bodyguard, you wanted to tell Ye Xiu that you didn't want to know anything about the war, because if you did, you really couldn't stay ignorant anymore. Your fate will be inevitable.

"Go away," you tried to close the door to your bedroom but Steamed Bun made his way in nevertheless.

"Let's play a game!" he brought a stack of cards with him.

"I don't want to," you fell backwards on your bed.

Steamed Bun towered over you:

"C'mon! I want to play!"

"No," you said determined.

You felt like crying, why were you acting all chubby and familiar with him now. What the hell was up with this guy?

"Isn't it fun?" Steamed Bun laid out the cards on your bed.

"No," you answered and couldn't care less about this stupid card game or him placing them in a weird order.

Sleepiness whispered softly in your ear with all the beautiful promises but suddenly Steamed Bun's voice ripped you back. You would have blocked out his usual chatter manner but this time, something about the tone of his voice made you shudder and sit up straight.

You looked up and saw darkness briefly hushing across his face. Your eyes widened.

"If you win this game, I'll tell you everything you want to know. Even how you'll get out of here."

His promise seemed sweeter than what sleep could ever promise but somehow, somewhere in the back of your mind, this nagging, qualmish feeling just didn't want to go away.
