The rain poured and the night was dark. You were on your way home but it got gradually more stormy, so you decided to take shelter somewhere.

You came across a cafe and the warmth that enveloped you the minute you stepped in made you feel cosy and relaxed. It was a wonderful feeling.

You rested in a chair and shuddered a bit as your clothes and hair were wet. For a while, you enjoyed your peace when a towel was held in front of you.

The waiter helping you was really handsome and you were in a daze staring at him, snapping back to reality you thanked him and took the towel.

He walked away and you dried yourself. Despite being late, there were quite a few customers. You could see how they all intensively eyed the good-looking waiters.

You wished you had something warm to fill you up. The thought lingered until you finally opened your eyes and saw the hot chocolate in front of you.

"It's good," the waiter smiled at you and said nothing else. You tilted your head in question but then also smiled and thanked him.

He nodded and left. The moment he went to another table loud squeals overwhelmed the cafe.

"Ah! Zhou Zekai! Please! Please! Can we have an autograph? You're even more handsome in real life!"

You turned around and could literally see the saliva drooling from the two girls'mouths as they energetically swooned over the waiter.

He's quite popular, you thought and sipped on your drink. The instant hot feeling made you forget the uncomfortable wetness.

You looked outside, the rain still hasn't stopped. you sighed, you just wanted a shower and then fall into your comfortable bed and never wake up from the softness.

Suddenly, a little bowl was placed before you. The waiter, Zhou Zekai gave you something else again.

"Soup," he said, nodded then left.

You were confused. You didn't order anything but he kept bringing you food and drinks.

A while later, he came back with a slice of cake. Was this one of those places where they just served you their specialities and then left you with the bill?

"It's good," that was the only thing he said again before he turned to leave.

However, this time you grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"Erm," you weren't sure what you wanted to say now that he gave you his full attention. It was hard talking to good-looking people.

"Thanks but how much is it?"

He tilted his head as if you just questioned his whole existence. For a while, you both remained like this until he finally decided to speak up.

"On the house."

"Eh?" you let go of him, you didn't expect that.

"Do you give everyone something on the house? How do you make business?"

He shook his head. You couldn't follow him and almost blurt out, Speak!

But you remained calm and continued giving him a look to edge him on.

"Only...y-you."

"Oh," you turned away from him. For some reason what he said made you feel weird.

Why would he do that for you? You didn't even know each other. Perhaps, was he pitying you or was he just a caring person?

You couldn't ask for an answer as another table called for him. The sweetness of the cake melted on your tongue and you were impressed by his choices. Everything he gave you was to your taste and made you feel better and warmer.

You felt sleepy. Zhou Zekia came back and gave you a blanket. You laughed a little. Just how attentive was he?

You accepted it and watched him leave again. You thought it was also time for you to go home.

The next time, Zhou Zekai came, you asked him for the bill but he shook his head.

"What do you mean?" but you were met with silence.

Then finally he said, "Wait," and then took care of the other tables.

In the span of at least the next 30 mins, he continued avoiding your request and stopped you from asking any of the other waiters.

"Dangerous," he just said as you were impatient to leave.

You sighed and sulked in your chair.

He saw you weren't in a good mood and gave you another hot chocolate. You didn't know whether to laugh or to cry, he was literally fatten you up with hot chocolate.

This time, however, he didn't leave and stayed by your side. You looked around, there were still quite a lot of customers.

You turned to him, it seemed like he wanted to say something. Not being able to bear seeing him like this you told him,

"If it's hard to say, just write it down."

He nodded and came back with a pen and notebook. He wrote something, ripped the page off then handed it to you. Your eyes widened.

"My shift ends soon, I'll walk you home. I have an umbrella."
