It was the day before the third phase. The teams have been broken up and everyone focused on their own accounts now. It was midnight and you sat in the practice room alone, trying not to make any noises as you leveled up your default account.
"Come on, come on," you muttered while your unspecialised hid behind the bushes waiting to ambush the guilds.
You didn't want to be a scrap picker but had no other choice if you wanted rare materials that only dropped from wild bosses, and there was no way you would be able to fight on your own against a boss.
"There!" your unspecialised rushed out and killed the player with the level 70 items.
Your avatar ran as you've been found out, you couldn't be engaged in a battle if you were you wouldn't be able to log off. Once you stored the treasure in your inventory, you immediately logged off.
"Ah!" you stretched yourself in the chair and rolled back.
"Today's been a good day. Quite the catch hehe," you pulled out your card and left the room.
I'm kinda hungry, you thought, your stomach made weird noises.
Fine, let's head to Mcdonalds. Maybe I'll try the big round ones.
However it was easier thought than done. At night the layout seemed totally different and you had to occasionally avoid the security guards.
Shoot, where the hell am I now? you peeked around the corner.
No one, you moved forward, everything was dark, except the green exit boxes on the ceilings that would show the way. Suddenly you heard someone cursing, you quickly hid in a room. Although the voice seemed to come closer and finally the door to the room opened.
You cursed loudly in your mind and sprang in the space between the window and table. However the person didn't turn on the lights but only a computer. Their cursing didn't stop:
"Why the hell do they've to turn off the lights once it's evening? Energy-saving? As if anyone cares about that. Money-saving? My ass, the team has more than enough money to spare. They only want to piss me off. Is it because I sneaked out once? Is it? Is it?" the chattering mixed with the tapping on the keyboard.
You rolled your eyes, that person was talking way too much with themselves. Like what? Was it normal to talk to yourself?
"Gosh dammit!" the keyboard noises increased as well as your impatience.
How do I get out of here before- your stomach rumbled.
You clenched your eyes shut as the typing stopped. The chair rolled back. You backed deeper into your hiding spot until you hit the wall. The footsteps drew closer. You turned around and faced the wall.
If I can't see you, you can't see me.
Silence.
"OW!" you screamed and furiously sprang back on your feet.
"Unbelievable!" your eyes were wide open as you stared at the culprit. That guy really threw a mouse at your head.
"What. the. hell. is. wrong. with. you," you hissed under your breath and grabbed him by the hair.
"I could ask you the same! Why are you hiding in my room? It's only natural to defend myself against a creepy person! Are you stalking me? Are you a crazy fan? What's that look for?" he grabbed your hand and wriggled out of your grip.
"Why would I-" you started off but then you realised that you were actually at fault.
That guy smirked at your brief silence but that didn't keep you from trashing him. However you soon were defeated, no one could beat that guy when it came to talking. You gave up, especially after you figured out who he was.
