Descending Into Madness

It had been about a week since Carlos and Ben got engaged. They had a long week telling Ben's family,

And now Ben had a little suprize for Carlos.

The sun was blazing bright. Inside of the room the two boys were sleeping in. The sun shined right in Carlos's eyes waking him up. He opened his brown eyes to the sight off the light reflecting off of his ring. The sight of the blues heart shaped diamond on the sliver circle made the whit haired boy's heart beat ten times faster. Carlos read the ingravment on the ring over and over again.

"No wonder they call you a VK, cause you stole my heart." it was super corny but Carlos didn't care.

Ben finally woke up and scooted closer to Carlos and wrapped his arm around him. The king gave his fiancé a small kiss and then a bigger kiss on his neck.

"Good morning sexy, how did you sleep ?" whispered Ben

" Good " Carlos replied.

Ben looked at Carlos with sadness. He rose up and pressed his back on the bed frame. He looked down at Carlos trying to be understanding of the lie that he just told.

"Why do you do that ?" Ben asked
"Do what ?" asked Carlos

"Lie about having a good sleep when you know damn well I'm always here during you night terrors."

"I... I just, I don't know Ben I'm sorry please don't be mad at me I'm really sorry." Carlos said grabbing onto Ben to listen to his heart beat.

"Well...please just stop lying to me please I really want to help." Ben said

"Ok Ben " Carlos said

The two boys hugged for what felt like a long time. Carlos with his ear to to Ben's chest. Carlos was so relax he even started to drift back to sleep. But before he could Ben woke him up with some news.

"Hey Carlos I have some good news and some...medorcoier new." Ben said with a smile.

"The hell is medorcoier news ?" Carlos asked.

"Well...medorcoier news is um...there are um. Ok fine...there is this school. Half way across the state. For years they send four kids in need over and they stay for three months. And they can choose to stay. But I just wanted to tell you there will be even more new kids coming." Ben explained.

"Aw Ben that's awesome when are they coming ?" asked Carlos in exciment.

"Today or tomorrow." Ben said

"Where are they coming from? Who are they ?" asked Carlos

Carlos begun to get excited by the news. He was happy to meet some new faces.

"Well they come from a school called Southern DremWorks. And the kids that are coming I don't know its the kids that need the most help with an issue." Ben explained.

The younger boy crawled out off bed and started to get dressed. And get got ready to start his day.

"Wait don't you want to here the goods news ?" asked Ben.

"Well what is it." asked Carlos jumping back into bed with Ben.

"I invited everyone to dinner tonight so that way we can tell them about the engagement. We're gonna meet them at the main hall in the at the castle at four." Ben explained to Carlos.

Carlos heard a buzzing sound. Coming from his phone. He grabbed his phone and looked down. And saw a text from Diego

"We need to talk meet me in the park NOW." it said

"Well I have to go Ben." Carlos said putting on his fur jacket.

"But I thought we were going to stay in bed all day together." Ben said in a disappointed way

"I know but Diego just texted me he wants to meet me in the park soon." Carlos said

Just then Ben remembered what Evie told him. Diego know about Carlos's father...and his "dark power." But what dark power he wondered. Ben quickly wiped the curiosity of Carlos's power out of his mind. And quickly came up with a response.

"I'll come to." Ben said

"Are you sure I have to go to the park. Why do you want to come with me in the cold ?" asked Carlos.

"Well I'm going to the library to check up on the new VKS see how they're doing. Its along the way to the park." Ben lied.

Carlos was suspicious but didn't question it. Ben grabbed his jacket and through Carlos his scarf. They started walking to the park. Along the way Ben's mind became a swarm of thoughts.

"Will he tell Carlos about his father, or his hidden power." Ben thought.

"Come to think of it...how come Carlos doesn't even know about his own power." he thought to himslef.

Carlos looked all around at the falling leafs. This was his favorite time of year. The cool wind, the colorful left, the crunching sound the leafs make when you step on them. But his favorite part of Autumn was the apples. He loved it all apple cider, apple pies, apple shushes, caramel apples, normal apples, even apple butter. He wanted to go to an orchard with Ben, Mal, Jay, and Evie. Espically Evie she was the one who showed Carlos his first apple orchard he's loved it ever since. Ben favorite time of year was more spring. The weather was not to hot or to cold, the flowres are in bloom, the animals are out. Hews really looking forward to going back to the water fall where he took Carlos on their first date.

They finally reached the park where they could see Diego sitting and waiting on the swings.

"Oh there he is well I better go see him before he starts getting passed off. I'll see you at dinner ok." Carlos said before kissing Ben twice.

"Love you Ben, oh hey keep me updated on this new kids coming ok ?" asked Carlos.

"Sure no problem love you Carlos." Ben told his fiancé.

They both parted ways. But Ben hid around the corner to hear what they were talking about and what he heard was...shocking.
