'I'm surprised you're more obsessed with this game than I am, I just showed you it a few days ago' Dustin says as he watches me play on the sidelines, occasionally handing me the coins if I failed my mission and died on the game. My eyes were glued onto the screen as I watched my character jump up and down, avoiding the flames as it jumped over the obstacles. I was literally addicted to this game, and ever since Dustin had called me about it, I've been coming to the arcade with him everyday for this whole week.

I had one last round, but figured Dustin was getting frustrated with my constant replaying of the rounds, and finished up before I let him have a turn. He played on the game for about five minutes before he moved onto a few others, and to repay him for being a supportive friend, I watched from the sidelines this time, of course until I had to stop him when I saw the time.

'We've got half an hour left until we have to go to school, we should leave' I state as I check the clock hanging up on the wall behind the Pac-man machine. Dustin agrees before finishing up his round, and we grab our bags and head out of the arcade.

'I still can't believe your mum let us use her car' Dustin laughed as I drove along the road, purposely annoying him with my obnoxious singing and constant movements of horrible dance moves.

'I know, she barely let's me drive, but she's been generous lately' I say with a cheeky smile on my face, and it's true, she has been generous lately.

I figured that would be because she was spying on Billy and I on the porch the other night, and I didn't know she was secretly watching through the living room blinds until I went back inside. She had been jumping for joy ever since then, she's been giving me more lunch money, and hasn't been growling me to do my chores as much, and she's been pressuring me into inviting Billy over for dinner.

She has this mindset that he'd like to call them his in-laws when in reality, Billy and I had only been officially dating for over three months now, before that we had just been secretly seeing each other. But still, I didn't think inviting him over for dinner was a completely bad idea.

'And we're here, to the buildings of hell' Dustin announces as I park up the car into a parking space, and we just sit in the car for a few moments, both gazing at the middle school and high school buildings that we despised.

'Just wait until you get to high  school' I say and Dustin laughs before we both get out of the car and say our goodbyes before we part ways.

The hallway was warm, the heaters had been on all morning and I could tell, because the office ladies looked like they were cozy, and the atmosphere felt different. Slowly and steadily it was inching its way to winter, and I couldn't wait to be thrown into a world where you had to bury yourself in blankets, and wear two times more layers than usual just to keep yourself warm.

I preferred Autumn over any season, but when we're talking about seasons, the odds weren't in my favour. I trudged over to my locker, and I search around to see if Nancy or Jonothan was around, but the area seemed to be empty, so I sighed heavily before searching my locker for the books I needed.

As I'm buried head deep into my locker while I scan over my books, I feel two familiar strong arms snake their way around my waist, and suddenly I'm pulled back and cuddled into the warm body I was used to feeling. I chuckle into Billy's chest as I secretly inhale his strong cologne, god he smelt nice.

'Hi Billy' I say softly as I pull away and look up at him, watching as his lips curled up into a smirk.

'Hey baby' He says before he pecks my lips and pulls away so he can lean on my locker and talk to me.
I carry on grabbing out my books while Billy watches intently at my movements.

'So, get up to anything yesterday?' I question and he shakes his head.

'Yeah, me and Ethan just drove around Hawkins, and went to some randoms house- I dunno-' Billy trails off and I just hum as a response, so that's where Billy was yesterday. After he dropped me off home, I had asked him if he wanted to come over for dinner, of course to my mother's request, but he had told me he had to go with Max and Susan to run some errands.

Which at first, sounded completely sketchy, because 1) Billy never joined them when they ran errands, and 2) I had noticed he sped off in his Camaro less than twenty minutes after he told me he was 'running errands' with Max and her mother. Billy had lied to me about his whereabouts, but since this was a one off, I decided not to approach the topic and dropped it.

As I turned to Billy, I noticed he was staring off behind me, he looked completely dazed as his eyes were stuck on something behind me, and I gave him a confused look before I twist around on my heel to see what he was gawking at.

She was beautiful, a typical tanned blonde who had every intention of showing off how good her hair was by letting it rest on her shoulders. Her electric green eyes almost lit up the room as she walked down the hallway, and to top it all off, she had dimples. She strode with such confidence, and had a smug look on her face as she watched as people gawked at her curiously, wondering who she was.

Including me and Billy, more so Billy than me, his eyes were attached to her as she continued to walk and when she looked our way, she winked at Billy, causing him to smirk and lift up his hand and wave at her. Then I felt it, the urge that I hadn't felt in a while, a jealous urge that was pushing its way to the surface, and slowly controlling my emotions as I watched my boyfriend gawk at the new girl.

I hated the urge, but I could sense it was going to be around as long as she was. So I couldn't help myself when I slam the locker door shut, causing Billy to jump slightly at the sudden outburst.

'Let's go' I mumble before I grab ahold of Billy's hand and haul him away with me, and I was going to make sure he wasn't near that random-but very pretty girl, that winked at him. It always starts off with a wink, then it leads to flirting then a kiss, then sex, god I knew this because I've experianced it with Billy.

There was no way in hell I was going to let that happen, so my plan was to keep Billy far away from her, and if that meant being as close as glue, then so be it.
