I vomited two times this morning, with the mixture of nerves and a bad combination of alcohol last night, it was no surprise I was feeling nauseous. But I managed to wake myself up, fix my hair and jump into the shower before opening my room up to the girls to come and help get me ready.
I'm sat in a chair, foot tapping against the floor rapidly as I tried to calm down and stay still so I don't ruin my makeup being done. But I can't help it, I've been nervous since we've first started to prepare for our wedding, thing is, I wasn't really sure what I'm nervous about. Billy is definitely up for this, and we've been engaged for three years, so I've been expecting this day for awhile. But it still hasn't sunk in, and I'm starting to think of all of the negative things that could happen.
'What's Billy doing?' I question to Nancy who pins a loose strand of her hair back while preparing my bouquet.
'He's getting ready as well, don't worry Em, everything will be fine' Nancy says reassuringly as she smiles at me, and I nod as I try to take my mind off of all of the negative thoughts.
'Yeah don't worry Em, my brother is just as nervous as you are, maybe even more, he keeps blabbering' Max says as she bites off some of her liquorice and hands me some from the bag, I thank her before quickly shoving them in my mouth.
'...and all done' Rebecca, the makeup artist announces as she moves and grabs a hand mirror from the side table and puts it in front of my face, and I must admit, I look gorgeous.
I thank her before checking the time, and cursing when I realize there isn't much time left before pushing off of my seat and grabbing my dress before slipping into it. Leigh helps me with my hair, and braids it before moving it so it sits on my shoulder. She fixes some of my loose hairs with a few bobby pins before tugging on the braid to make it a little looser before she runs her hands down my sides.
'You look amazing Em, you ready to get married?' Leigh questions and I exhale before nodding and giving her a smile.
'Yeah, I'm ready' I say.
So we finally get up and grab all of the bouquets and my veil before we double check everything in the hotel room before leaving and going down to the lobby. We agreed that all of the guys were going to ride with Billy in one car, and although he wanted to drive in his Camaro to the venue, he had to drive in the limo in order to fit everyone in the line.
While the bridesmaids and I would drive in another limo with my mum, and that's what we settled on when we got to the parking lot downstairs. But as we're all fitting everybody in, I see Steve jog up to the limo.
'Hey, you have space for one more?' Steve questions as I peer into the limo and realize that there's space for him, but I give him a skeptical look as I pull the door open wider.
'Aren't you supposed to be riding with the boys?' I question and he rolls his eyes.
'I'm your best friend, and I'd rather drive with you guys' Steve says before I nod before getting in and shifting over so he can get in beside me.
'Didn't you get the memo, it's only the women in this car Steve' Max comments causing him to shrug before shutting the door behind him and we finally get moving.
Steve helped get the nerves out of my system and calmed me down in the car ride there. He cracked jokes and made sure I was distracted from the fact that I was going to be tying the knot today, and reassured me the whole drive. I barely noticed when we pulled up on the curb of the entrance to the park.
