I leaned back into my chair, trying to focus on the board, but every now and then my eyes would glance over to the sight next to me, and I wish I had lazer beams that shot out of my eyes as a super power, because they would come in handy right now. There she is, in our Biology class busily chatting to Billy without a care in the world.
I found out she was a new student when she was introduced herself in my English class, and no surprises, she's from California, which totally explained the tan and beautiful smooth skin. God, I hated how perfect looking she is, and I hated more how she hooked in my boyfriend.
My plan failed, I could barely keep Billy away from the new beauty in our class, he made a beeline all the way to her when he found out she was from California, and they just shot off from there. So I've spent two periods in the same class as the two of them, listening to them bond over the same topics.
'I can't believe how similar we are!' Anna exclaims as Billy describes one of his hobbies to her when he was in California, which then led onto a conversation about some restaurant that was popular. I felt like snapping my pencil and stabbing the two of them, they kept blabbering on, and bonding, I was sick of it.
Billy didn't seem to notice how out of place I felt, she barely talked to me, only waved at me lazily before she continued to talk to Billy about California. He was so deep into their conversation he barely noticed the bell for the end of the day rang. He only noticed when I packed up my things and tapped his shoulder.
But Billy didn't walk with me, he and Anna kept talking while they pushed out of their seats and made their way out of the classroom. So I followed behind them lamely until we were in the parking lot, even then they didn't break conversation. They laughed at some inside joke, and I watched as she placed her hand on his bicep.
'Remember my uncles Camaro I told you about, it's at his workshop right now if you wanted to check it out, it's rad' Anna says enthusiastically and I see the smile that spreads across Billy's face as she mentioned her uncle's car, and I see him nod as he accepts the offer. As soon as he does, he unlocks his car for her and lets her ride in the passengers seat. I watch her as she does, and I glare at her while she sits comfortably in the seat I usually sit in.
Billy turns to me with an apologetic look on his face, and I watch as he turns around and and looks her momentarily before turning back at me.
'You could always ride with us, I'll just move her to the back' He suggests, and I actually feel good about the fact that he wanted me to go with them, and I loved the fact that he'd shove her to the back for me, considering how buddy buddy they were during our classes. I sigh and give him a small smile.
'Actually, I drove my mum's car, gotta give Dustin a ride home anyway, but you two go ahead' I say with a semi genuine smile on my face, I didn't like the thought of them being alone in his car, bonding some more, where she could potentially make a move on him.
'You sure?' Billy questions as he sees me glance over at Anna in his car, busily checking out herself in the rare view mirror, I roll my eyes at the sight and turn to Billy and nod.
'Yeah, I'll see you later?' I question and Billy nods.
'Maybe, Anna wanted to show me some more of her uncle's shit, so I'll be out late' Billy says and I tense at the information, but I plaster a fake smile on my face as I start to say my goodbyes.
'Never mind then, bye Billy' I say before I turn around and start to walk away, but I feel Billy's hand grasp around my wrist before I walk too far off, and he pulls me back, causing me to stop in my tracks.
'Can I have a kiss first?' Billy laughs out as he turns me around to face him, and I happily oblige as he pulls my face towards him with both his hands pressed against my cheeks, our lips collide together and we kiss for what feels like a minute, and my eyes glance at the car and notice Anna is watching us with a scowl on her face.
This causes me to smirk into Billy's lips as we continue to kiss, and when he pulls away he looks down at me with a smile on his face.
'I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?' Billy says and I nod silently before I let them leave and walk back to my own car.
'I nearly vomited a few minutes ago' Dustin says as he motions to Billy and I kissing a few minutes ago, and I didn't realize he had been waiting for me at the car a few cars down from Billy's, and I give him a sarcastic smile before unlocking the car.
'Just get in' I say as I hop into the car.
Once I had dropped off Dustin, I drove back home and just lounged around all afternoon, trying to distract myself from the fact that Billy was alone with Anna right now, probably talking about intimate things, god I hated it. I was trying to distract myself by doing some chores and cleaning through my room, but I was just trying to busy myself while I wait for Billy to come home.
Finally, at midnight I heard his Camaro's engine blasting from down the street, and I discreetly peek through my blinds to watch him from my room. I watch him as he gets out of the car, and leans on it for a few moments while he finishes his cigarette. He seemed normal, until I saw him pull out a small peice of paper, and he smiles at it before he tucks it away in his shirt pocket.
I squint down at him and perse my lips together, did Anna give him that, was there a message on it, or maybe her home number, god I was hoping it wasn't any of the above, but I had a bad feeling as I watched Billy leave the driveway and enter his house.
