Emilia

'I'm not changing my mind about this party Emilia, I already told you that' Steve says as he puts away some of his parents prized possessions into cupboards, and I sigh heavily as I help him by clearing the dining room table. His parents were gone for this whole weekend and apparently he invited half of the school to this party.

Not only was I questioning why he wanted to throw a big party, but why he wanted to invite a ton of people to it. They could trash his house and I doubt most of them would keep any of the belongings safe, I know what drunk people are like and I know this isn't going to turn out good.

'Yeah I know, but I mean just think about it, so many things could go wrong. The likely chances of people ruining your home is high, you should've just invited a small group of people over Steve' I say, sounding like a strict parent as I list my points, and I could tell he was getting annoyed, he had already made his mind up and I couldn't change it.

'It's just a party, I've thrown a lot of these before, I know what I'm doing Em, unlike you I'm not worried about the outcome, just chill out' Steve says before he leaves me in the living room and probably went to the kitchen, I sigh heavily as I readjust my necklace and continue to move some of the furniture around.

It took an hour to prep the house, another hour just to double check that things were safe from harm and that there was enough food and alcohol. I was still anxious, I continously tapped on the hard wood table as Steve let people in, and eventually the whole house was full by eight thirty. I left my spot as the music blasted and people started to drink, Steve was nowhere to be found and I got lost in a crowd.

'Nancy!' I call out as I see her and Jonathan push through the front door and into the crowd of people.
This was the only decent part of the night, my friends were here and it was comforting.

'There's so much people' Nancy says over the loud music and I nod and roll my eyes as I think back to when I warned Steve about inviting randoms to this party. In the last two hours I've seen some of their cups smashed on the ground, and Mr.Harrington's liquor cabinet was raided, not to mention that there was now stains on their carpet from spilt alcohol. His parents are going to kill him.

'I warned him about inviting heaps of people, I warned him!' I exclaim as we make our way into the backyard, and the three of us find a quiet spot to sit in. The music was loud and consisted of a variety of rock and pop songs, I doubt the neighbour's were going to be happy about the noise.

'Well, he wanted this party to be big' Jonathan says as we stare at some of the trees and I turn my head briefly to see the little blue house sitting nicely on the grass, a small smile is placed on my face as I faintly see some of the carvings in it.

'Excuse me have y'all seen a girl who goes by the name of Emilia-she's pretty short and has an alright sense of humor' the familiar voice behind me says, and I wear a grin as I turn around and see Jordan standing behind me, wearing jeans and a shirt and of course a letterman jacket, he was a jock after all.

'Ha-ha Jordan very funny, I'm surprised you showed up' I say as he sits down beside me and greets Nancy and Jonathan.

'Yeah a few of the guys in the football team were coming so I decided to tag along, plus I knew you were going to be here and you don't generally like parties, so I thought I'd join you' Jordan says and I find it sweet he thought about me and remembered how parties weren't my thing.

'Well thank you for thinking of my well-being' I say followed by a laugh. I let Jordan introduce himself to Nancy and Jonathan properly and they talk for a bit before the two of them decided they'd go inside to get some drinks and find a spot to hang out in, which left me with Jordan.
