"Michael, you have five minutes to go brush your teeth, we're leaving in twenty minutes!" I call out to my six year old son who I know is busy playing with his action figures. I sigh as I grab Kimberly's bag and put her favourite toy and blanket in it, before running upstairs to go see where Billy and Kimberly are. As soon as I'm in the hallway I hear the sound of Billy's voice, and I know they're in her bedroom.
"Baby doll, you have to put this on for daddy" I hear Billy say to our daughter, and I stifle a laugh when I hear her say no.
"C'mon, you have to wear this to school, it's cold outside honey" Billy says, trying to convince her to put it on, but still, the three year old is stubborn and refuses to wear her sweater. So I sigh before walking into the room and assisting my husband who's currently being bullied by a toddler.
"You have to wear it Kimberly, or else you'll get cold and sick. Remember we're going to see your Aunty Max on the weekend, and if you're sick, we'll have to stay home. Isn't that right daddy?" I question Billy who's wearing a smirk on his face, he nods in response.
"That's right baby" He says, and I see the defeated look on Kimberly's face as she finally lets me pull the grey jumper onto her body.
She loves seeing Max, so I knew instantly she'd give in when I used the Aunty Max card on her. Billy makes her bed while I brush her hair and tie it into a bun on her head before I pick her up in my arms. Billy smiles at me as he stands back up and moves foward to caress my face.
"My favourite girls" Billy sighs before he plants a kiss on my lips, and kisses Kimberly on her cheek before he steals her from me and cradles her in his arms. I leave the two of them alone while I run back downstairs to fix breakfast.
"Okay, breakfast time!" I say, resulting in my son running down the stairs with his bag on his back. I smile at him as he comes into the kitchen holding one of his toys.
"Here baby" I say as I push his bowl of cereal infront of him and let him eat his breakfast. Billy comes downstairs holding Kimberly, busily singing the alphabet to her before he sits down beside Michael. He sits her down in her high chair before he begins to feed her porridge.
"Uncle Steve gave me this toy" Michael says, and I nod as I recognize the millionth action figure Steve has gifted to my son. He's literally spoilt him with toys since the moment he came out of the womb.
"Hmm, he's given you so much toys. You're very lucky you have him as an uncle" I say.
"You know when we were teenagers your uncle Steve was-" Billy starts but I cut him off short.
"No time for tales right now, Daddy" I say causing a mischievous look to appear on Billy's face.
"Oh, so should I save it for later?" Billy winks at me, and I roll my eyes at the dirty meaning behind his question. Billy finishes feeding Kimberly while I double check Michael's bag before we leave the house.
"Okay babies, Daddy's going to drop you off to school because Mummy has to go to work on time" I say as I put their stuff into the car before giving each of them a kiss on the cheek, including Billy who's already sitting in the drivers seat.
"Drive safe and remember you're cooking dinner tonight" I remind Billy who nods before quickly pecking my lips, causing our son at the back to groan and complain. We laugh when we pull away and finally say our goodbyes before I watch them pull out of the driveway and leave the street.
