Don't Call Me Baby (Billy Hargrove)

-Chapter seventy three-

Emilia

I found out that the girl who was sitting with Jordan in English was actually very nice, and her name is Leigh-Anne. She's been hanging out with Jordan for the last few days of school, and I honestly felt happy for him. He was no longer hanging out with me every lunch time and actually met up with Leigh to 'study'. But really they were having lunch dates.

He's been constantly talking about her and how amazing she is, and they're planning some movie date for Thursday. Which is what we're discussing now, he's seeking advice from me and I'm happily giving it while eating my sandwich.

'But what do I do if she wants to hold hands or something? But like during the movie, I mean I don't wanna miss anything-' Jordan rants, clearly nervous over his first official outting with her.

'Then hold her hand Jordan, I thought you were a smooth talker' I tease, reflecting on all those times he was cocky, it was quite amusing seeing him all flustered.

'I am to some girls, but she just makes me feel some kind of way- oh god she's coming over' Jordan groans afterwards as he rubs his face and tries to stay calm. He whispers to me to chase her away, but I just elbow him and wave at her.

'Hey Leigh-Anne!' I call out at she makes her way over to us, and I see a wide smile on her face as she greets the two of us.

'Hey girl' Jordan greets, his tone slightly low as he tried to piece himself back together since all he's been doing is freak out over Thursday.

'Hey Jordy, about Thursday, did you wanna watch that new horror movie that just came out, I heard it's really good' Leigh-Anne suggests, and Jordan plays around with his football as he tries to answer.

'Uh- yeah s-sure we can-' Jordan stutters causing Leigh-Anne to let out a laugh at his behaviour and me to nudge him.

'Oh great, um Emilia did you want to come along, the more the merrier' Leigh-Anne suggests, and I shake my head instantly and decline politely, causing both her and Jordan to go into a frenzy.

'No come along, bring your boyfriend too, it'll be like a double date!' She cheers excitedly, causing Jordan to grin at me.

'Yeah Em, double date type of thing right Leigh?' He says and I smile at them before nodding, and as soon as Leigh-Anne leaves I curse and shove everything back into my bag.

'I don't have a boyfriend! And I don't want to be a third wheel Jordan, it's your date and I don't want to ruin it' I protest as we pack up and make our way to English together, but Jordan just shrugs as he throws his arm around my shoulder.

'Don't stress it, just bring anybody, plus I need my wingman with me on Thursday' He says and I roll my eyes playfully as I gently shove him and we continue to talk about Thursday.

A few days rolled past and soon enough it was Thursday afternoon, I was sat with Nancy in class last period discussing the work with her while we waited for the bell to ring. I had spent this whole day trying to find someone who wanted to come with me to the cinema.

Nancy was busy babysitting Mike, Jonathan had to go cover his shift at his job, Dustin is too young for the movie we're planning to watch, and I had asked Steve but he had to help his dad out this afternoon. Which only left me with one option, Billy.

So as soon as the bell rang I packed up my books, said bye to Nancy and sprinted out of class to go see Billy in the parking lot. As per usual he was leaning on his car smoking a cigarette with Tommy and Ethan. I rolled my eyes as I approached them and saw Ethan glare at me.

'Still hanging around Billy I see' Ethan says to me as I stand in front of them, and I raise my eyebrows at him.

'I see flies still hang around you Ethan' I snap causing Billy to laugh out loud and Tommy to chuckle.
