'That's the last box!' I exclaim from upstairs as I carry down the last box from my room, it's small and carries all of my pictures and decorations. And although I was excited to finally leave Hawkins, I concealed the fact that I had tears in my eyes because I was leaving.

I took one last look at my room, by this time next year it'll look completely different, my parents are renovating the whole house, and I guess all of the memories will be stripped away once they're finished. So I sighed heavily as I leaned against my bedroom door frame, remembering all of the memories I have in this room. I wipe away the stray tears that managed to fall from my eyes, and let out a chuckle as I felt arms wrap around my waist.

'What's the matter baby?' Billy asks quietly as he cuddles my body.

'It's just- I'm going to miss this room, I've made so much memories in here, I feel like I'm just letting it all go' I sigh as I wipe away the tears that slip down my cheeks, but Billy lets go and stands beside me.

'Like that window over there, I used to wait outside of, sometimes freezing my ass off because you took too long to open it' Billy says as he points toward the window, and I laugh as I remember those days.

'And when your bed used to be here, and we'd lay in it for hours. You'd help me study in here too' Billy states.

'And remember prom night, after we left the school gym, we came back here and-' Billy says, and I already know where he's going with that one, so I cut him off early.

'Yeah yeah I remember' I laugh out as he gets to the point.

'You know these memories aren't going to go away, they're still going to be here, and I'm going to be with you, and that's all that matters' Billy says reassuringly as he rubs his hands up and down my arms, and I nod as I wipe away the tears on my cheeks and turn to face him.

'You're right' I mumble out and he pulls me forward to place a kiss on my lips.

'We better go or else Jordan might drive off without us' I say as he pulls away and he agrees before I say one last goodbye to my old room and make my way downstairs.

My parents are currently in a conversation with Jordan and Steve, while Leigh is busy helping pack some of my clothes into the boxes. I join her and help finish off the last of the boxing and carry them to the car. Most of my belongings are packed away, and all there is left to do is say my goodbyes.

'You know you could stay a little longer if you wanted, you don't have to leave straight away honey' My dad says, the sad tone evident in his voice as he moves to hug me, and I exhale heavily as I let him wrap his arms around me.

'I want to, and don't worry, I'll be back to raid the fridge before you know it' I joke as I pull away from him and move to hug my mum, who just like my dad, has a frown on her face.

'I'm going to miss you so much Em, Billy you make sure my baby is safe okay?' My mother says as she looks at Billy, and he nods before promising her that he won't let anything happen to me.

'Look after yourself, and if you ever need help, you call us straight away, and remember what I told you' My mother says as she cups my face, and instantly I remember the discussion about always using protection when it comes to having sex, and making sure I actually study instead of messing around with my friends.

'I love you both' I say as I kiss her on the cheek and do the same to my dad, before turn around and grab my bag.

'I'm glad you decided to come' I say to Steve as we haul our bags into his truck, and he sighs before pulling me into his body and ruffling my hair, causing me to curse at him.

'Yeah, wouldn't leave you alone out there' Steve says as he hops into the drivers seat, I watch as Jordan and Leigh get into his car, and Billy hops into his Camaro. Steve insists that he'd be fine driving alone, and that he needed to stop somewhere first before officially leaving, so I got into Billy's Camaro with him.

But before we could leave, I see Dustin riding down the street on his bike, followed by Max who's riding her skateboard, and I smile as the familiar sight of her red hair blowing in the wind.

'I find it unbelievable that you were just going to leave without saying goodbye to us' Dustin says as he drops his bike, and I laugh as I get out of the car and move toward the two of them.

'We said our goodbyes on Monday Dustin' I say as I engulf him in a hug, and I didn't realize it, but Billy had come out too and was already talking to Max. We had spent Monday with Dustin, Nancy and Jonathan, since they wouldn't be able to say their goodbyes today.

'Stay in school, and don't get in trouble, if I come back next year and find out you've turned into a delinquent, I'll kill you' I joke as he grins at me.

'I'm gonna miss you Em' he says before he lets me hug Max.

'Same goes for you Max, oh and maybe next year I'll buy you a new skateboard for your birthday, I heard they make really good ones from where we're going' I say, causing her eyes to light up before she pulls me into a hug.

'Thanks Emilia, and I'll miss you, both of you' She says as she looks at Billy too, and he nods before pulling her into a hug and I leave them to it.

After finally saying our last goodbyes, we watch the two continue back down the street and we wait until they leave before we get into our cars and proceed to leave my property. First Steve drives out, followed by Jordan and Leigh, and finally us.

'Ready?' Billy questions as he interlocks our fingers, and I nod before he turns his music up and drives out of my driveway.
