The Sister's Strength

-4 days later-
The past few days have been fairly uneventful all things considered. They were closing in on the kingdom of Vacuo, this is evident by the rocky and sandy biome that has replaced the forest they had been traversing. It is getting dark once again but they are really close. If they traveled all night they would be there thus, (y/n) asks everyone.
(Y/n):"If we don't sleep we could make it there by tonight but, I'll leave it up to you three."
Neo:"Doesn't matter to me."
As this is said telepathically to (y/n) she also just shrugs with a smile. Yamato speaks up saying.
Yamato:"The grimm that live out here are way different than any of the others we've encountered. I think we should rest and continue in the morning."
Seraphine:"What other type of grimm could be out there that we haven't seen?"
Yamato:"Imagine giant centipedes that burrow under the ground, for one. There is a ton of grimm exclusive to this area of Remnant, all of which are very lethal. However, the most notable one has only been talked about in legend. It only attacks at night as it attacks unsuspecting travelers, it is also highly dangerous being that no one has ever lived to talk about it. The only reason that it is known is because of what was left of peoples corpses the next day."
Seraphine:"If it's a legend why are you so worried?"
Yamato:"Well, Hellions and Wendigos were thought to be only legend as well. So I'm kinda a bit more open to interpretation when it comes to grimm in folklore now."
Seraphine:"Well what's this grimm called?"
Yamato:"Its called Lilith."
Seraphine:"Well I don't like the idea of running into that thing out here. So I'm gonna vote to stay the night."
(Y/n):"Well it's decided then. You guys set up camp."
Seraphine:"What about you?"
(Y/n):"I'm gonna secure a perimeter."
Seraphine:"Just please be careful."
(Y/n) just nods and heads off to make sure the surrounding area is clear. (Y/n) does notice what looks like several figures with cloaks standing completely still so, he activates his eye of balor and witness. Upon doing this he realizes these things don't have an aura prompting him to say.
(Y/n):"That's a grimm? Yamato was right I haven't ever seen one like that. These things get worse by the day."
(Y/n) then heads back to where everyone was setting up camp. Upon arriving Yamato asks.
Yamato:"Is it clear?"
(Y/n):"Clear enough. Also until we make it to Vacuo wear your masks rather than your hoods up."
Seraphine:"What why?"
(Y/n):"There are grimm out there that are human sized with cloaks. They seemed docile even though they were looking at me."
Yamato:"That's because they're Sirens. They act as an alarm system for grimm that live underground. As long as you aren't close they won't screech and let off their negative energy."
Seraphine:"Good to know."
Yamato:"Who wants to take watch while the rest sleep. We can take it in shifts but we need to know."
(Y/n):"We don't need shifts I'll stay on watch all night."
Seraphine:"Are you sure?"
(Y/n):"Yes, my eyes can spot any grimm from a mile away. Sera's yours are the only others that could do this but, you still lack conscious control of them."
Sera then says reluctantly.
Seraphine:"Ok if you say so (y/n)."
Everyone goes to sleep leaving (y/n) on guard for the whole night. No grimm got within range of their camp thankfully, leaving (y/n) to his thoughts which as per usual were very depressing. That morning everyone woke to (y/n) sitting on a elevated rock face looking out over everything. They soon packed everything up and were ready to continue their venture. They eventually ended up in a canyon like area. It's quiet until Neo communicates to (y/n).
Neo:"Someone's following us."
(Y/n) just nods before stopping and saying.
(Y/n):"Whoever you are come on out."
Suddenly there is laughter that seems to echo throughout the canyon before the man (y/n) had encountered after he left from Meadow after the fall of Beacon makes himself known on top of one of the rock walls. He then lets out a maniacal cackle before saying.
???:"I'm so glad I'm the one that gets to kill you."
(Y/n):"Do you not remember the promise I made the last time we met?"
???:"Do you really think I was actually trying to kill you that time? Mistress Salem wanted your cooperation but, now I can do as I please. Especially since you've turned down her offer twice now."
(Y/n) is a bit fatigued however, he still gets into a fighting stance. That is until Sera steps in front of him and says.
Seraphine:"For once let me handle this. I'm tired of always needing you three to fight for me."
Yamato says a little surprised at Sera's words.
Yamato:"Are you sure you can handle this?"
Seraphine:"Yes."
At this (y/n) places his blade back into his sheath and comes out of his fighting stance. The man then sounds back off by saying.
???:"Look here girly. My quarrel isn't with you but, if you want to stand between me and him then I'm going to enjoy picking you apart."
Seraphine:"Don't you dare underestimate me!"
(Y/n) watches as the scorpion faunus jumps down to be on the same level as Sera. Though, he notices that his scorpion tail is different it's like a death stalker's tail. Both Yamato and Neo look worried for Sera but, (y/n) on the other hand is watching on intently with no discernible emotion on his face. The battle between Sera and the scorpion begins rather quickly and it is abundantly clear he out classes her in strength at this point. She actually has a few cuts, scrapes, and bruises thanks to the scorpion. She is actually winded as he is without a scratch, she falls to one knee as the scorpion lets lose another crazy sounding laugh as he says.
???:"You're truly pathetic. I can't wrap my head around why you would be traveling with him unless it were out of pity."
He then kicks her in the stomach sending her sliding a few feet away. She follows this up by saying.
Seraphine:"Shut up! I'm not weak!"
???:"Oh, did I strike a nerve?"
He then begins to rush as he does this Yamato and Neo try to go help her only for (y/n) to stop them. They both seem really confused by his action until they notice they can see their own breaths prompting them to turn back towards Sera. She just has a grin that slowly creeps across her face before she lets out a very creepy giggle. This causes the scorpion faunus to stab his tail into the ground behind him stopping himself. Then without warning a pillar of black and purple flames envelopes her as she continues to giggle. Nothing can be seen through the pillar of fire until two red orbs appear amidst the black fire, not long after this the fire dissipates enough to see Sera who has activated her eyes of the Witness. The scorpion faunus looks a little shaken up upon seeing her eyes as he remembers what those are capable of this prompts Sera to say in a more maniacal tone.
Seraphine:"C'mon I thought you said I was pathetic. Let's test your theory."
After saying this she reaches her hand into the fire causing the flames to turn into a sword as she begins to continue her giggling with the biggest smile ever. Though her smile is more crazed than happy. (Y/n) and Neo don't seem surprised by this, Yamato on the other hand is at a loss for words. The scorpion faunus rushes her with a barrage only for her to continually dodge his attacks with ease. He seems desperate to finish her as quick as possible so he tries to stab her with his tail only for her to grab it with her bare hand as she says.
Seraphine:"How ironic for an insect to insult a wolf. *Giggling* Now who is pathetic, hm?"
He looks completely afraid as he says begging for mercy.
???:"Please just let me go please! I'll do anything."
He closes his eyes as she moves her opposite hand to his face only for her flick his nose with her fingers as she says.
Seraphine:"Aw you look so scared. You were laughing your head off a second ago. I wonder why that is, hm? Oh are you actually afraid of me?"
He nods rapidly as he is scared out of his mind before she says after laughing at his answer like a good joke.
Seraphine:"Well... Good!"
She then causes the black flames to start engulfing him as she tears his tail off and says.
Seraphine:"You should be."
The only noise that can be heard is screams of pure agony from the scorpion as he is completely fried by the flames. She then begins to laugh again before clapping her hands together and saying.
Seraphine:"Ooh it's like burning ants with a magnifying glass. So satisfying!"
As she finishes her statement (y/n) walks up behind her and places his hand on her shoulder which causes her to turn and look at her brother. After doing this she comes to her senses as her eyes close and deactivate. She then asks.
Seraphine:"What happened? Did I win?"
(Y/n):"Yes very easily. Now, c'mon let's keep going."
Everyone falls in line with (y/n) as they leave the charred corpse of the would be assassin. It takes a good duration of the day for them to make it to Vacuo and most of the team is yawning and exhausted. Though of all (y/n) is probably the one that needs rest the most. They soon make it to a hotel. (Y/n) tells them.
(Y/n):"You guys head up I'm gonna smoke for a bit."
Seraphine:"Ok but, tonight you need to sleep."
Yamato:"Yeah, you've been pushing yourself really hard recently if anyone needs a break it's you."
Neo:"Agreed!"
(Y/n):"Whatever you say."
They then head inside to set up their room except for Sera who asks with genuine worry for her brother.
Seraphine:"(Y/n) are you okay?"
(Y/n):"Nope."
Seraphine:"Do you want to talk about it? Maybe it'll make you feel better."
(Y/n):"Nope."
Seraphine:"Oh o..okay I guess. I'll leave you alone now. I'm sorry to bother you."
(Y/n) just sighs as his sister walks off. He continues to enjoy his cigarette while his mind is continually plagued with thoughts about everything he has seen and done. It is also a good possibility the only reason this is happening is his lack of sleep. He takes this into account and just ignores these thoughts. However, he feels someones presence behind him. He then hears a familiar feminine voice ask.
???:"(Y/n)?"
This voice is odd to (y/n) he knows he has heard it before but it couldn't be them. So he turns and his eyes widen in complete shock and awe when he comes face-to-face with the one who said his name. This prompts him to say in complete and utter disbelief.
(Y/n):"Mom?"
