The Monster vs. The Wolf

-dreamscape-
(Y/n) is sitting with his knees pulled to his chest in the black void with nothing around. He just continues to relive those awful moments from the nightmare he had the night prior. Until he begins to snivel as he says.
(Y/n):"It doesn't matter what I do everyone I love and care about will get hurt. They won't be any different, I should leave before that can happen."
As he says this he feels a presence standing before him but it doesn't feel evil instead it feels warm. As a woman's voice asks.
???:"Why would you say something like that?"
(Y/n) then lifts his head to look at the presence only to have a face of shock as he realizes the presence is his mother.
(Y/n):"Mom?"
The female then smiles and kneels so she is looking him in the eyes as she says.
Mom:"Look, I don't know why your gonna let that monster get to you. You're way stronger than him. Why do you fear him?"
(Y/n) then responds quickly and loudly saying as he tears up.
(Y/n):"Because he has taken everything from me! You and Alex, gone leaving me alone! I don't want the same to happen to them."
His mother just rubs his wolf ears with her hand and despite being in tears (y/n)'s whole body feels calm. She then says this.
Mom:"You've worked so hard to get here, dealt with so much. I don't want you to quit because you're afraid people will get hurt. Don't throw away your dreams because you blame yourself for what happened to me and Alex. You should know that I'm so proud of you son. Your so close to achieving your dream and you've done this on your own. But that doesn't mean you have to do everything on your own. Despite the fact I'm not there with you, you have a family and that's your team and they care about you. They can tell you're hurting but they can't help you if you won't let them in."
(Y/n) then begins to wipe his tears away as he stands up and says.
(Y/n):"You're right. I have a family again and I'm not gonna let anything happen to them."
She then just smiles warmly and puts her head to his and says while looking into his eyes.
Mom:"I love you, son."
(Y/n):"I love you too, Mom."
As he says this the whole void is replace by a blinding white light.
-Team RWBY dorm-
(Y/n) opens his eyes slowly and thinks to himself as he sees Ruby, Yang, and Weiss stir and awake.
(Y/n)'s thoughts:"I will protect them, my family. I promise, Mom."
Upon him waking he also realizes Blake hasn't returned.
-time skip to Vale-
(Y/n), Ruby, Yang and Weiss are walking down the streets of Vale looking for Blake. Weiss keeps looking to (y/n) as he has wolf ears visible as he figures there is no point in hiding them. He then finally asks Weiss.
(Y/n):"Why do you keep looking at me all pissed off? Is it because I'm y'know?"
He was expecting her to go off on a tirade about how Faunus are bad but instead he gets a very different answer.
Weiss:"Its not because of that its because you kept a secret from me."
(Y/n) asks legitimately confused.
(Y/n):"Wait what?"
Weiss then says.
Weiss:"I'm your teammate and cousin. It kinda hurt to know you don't trust me."
(Y/n) then hung his head and said in a very apologetic voice.
(Y/n):"I'm sorry I kept this from you guys. I just was afraid of being outcasted again."
Then Weiss turns to him and says.
Weiss:"Apology accepted."
As this is settled they continued to look for Blake as (y/n) opens his eye of Balor his eye begins to dart around sporadically until he closes it leading to Ruby asking him.
Ruby:"Well, did you find her?"
(Y/n) just replies disappointedly with.
(Y/n):"No there is too many people to hone in on one central area. My eye won't be to helpful here."
As he says this a girl says from behind (y/n).
???:"Ruby is this another one of your friends?"
Everyone jumps back in shock (y/n) is no different as he turns to see a girl with ginger like hair and green eyes. (Y/n) then thinks to himself as she begins to talk to Ruby.
(Y/n)'s thoughts:"How did I not notice her with my eye?"
He is broken from his thoughts as the girl looks at you and says.
???:"Salutations, (y/n)."
(Y/n):"Um hey you."
Ruby then says.
Ruby:"Her name is Penny."
(Y/n) then just says to the girl.
(Y/n):"Well, its a pleasure to meet you Penny."
Penny then asks.
Penny:"What are you doing?"
Yang then responds.
Yang:"We're looking for Blake."
Penny:"Oh you mean the Faunus girl."
There is a tense silence followed by a confused Ruby asking.
Ruby:"Wait. How did you know that?"
Penny:"Um the cat ears."
Yang:"What cat ears she wears a bow."
Mid way through her sentence she has pieced things together pretty well. Penny then breaks the silence again by asking.
Penny:"Well where is she then?"
Ruby then says in a partially saddened voice.
Ruby:"We don't know she's been missing since Friday."
Penny then walks up to Ruby picking her up saying.
Penny:"That's terrible. Well don't you worry Ruby my friend I won't rest until we find your teammate."
This is followed by a very uncomfortable looking Ruby saying.
Ruby:"Um that's really nice of you Penny but we're ok really. Right guys?"
Ruby looks over only to see (y/n) still standing there. Granted he's in deep thought trying to figure out why he couldn't sense Penny at all. (Y/n) then begins to search on his own splitting up from Ruby.
-nighttime at the docks-
(Y/n) is sitting on a building as he opens his eye of Balor as he thinks.
(Y/n)'s thoughts:"Maybe with little population in this area I can find her."
As he thinks this he does actually find her as he begins to head that way he also senses two others with a decent sized aura one of which is next to Blake. The other is all too familiar to (y/n).
He lands on the building Blake and the monkey Faunus is on and walks up behind them as he hears them talking.
Blake:"Do you always have to steal things?"
Monkey Faunus:"Didn't you used to be a member of a cult?"
(Y/n) then breaks his silence as he is standing right behind the monkey Faunus.
(Y/n):"That was in poor taste don't you think?"
This causes Blake to whip around and asked shockingly.
Blake:"(Y/n)?!"
As she says this a huge gust of wind pushes past them. As a ship lands unloading white fang members. Blake notices (y/n) tense up and begin to breathe heavily as they both notice the white fang members. Then the silence is broken by a man in bowler hat and orange hair.
???:"We're not necessarily the most inconspicuous thieves around. So why don't you animals hurry up."
Blake is about to jump down until (y/n) notices a second figure. The sheer sight of the second figure makes him begin to shake in panic and anger. Upon this (y/n) goes to grab Blake but he is too slow. He then turns to the monkey Faunus saying.
(Y/n):"The one in black is mine."
As he follows Blake down he sees her take off toward the one with red hair as she grabs him and puts her sword to his throat. (Y/n) does keep himself hidden, until a maniacal cackle erupts as that same voice that has haunted his dreams says.
???:"It seems you've become a hostage Roman."
Roman:"Just shut up and end her, Daemon."
Daemon:"As you wish."
The man then disappears behind Blake as he goes to swing his blade at her, only for (y/n) to use his time manipulation to put himself in between Daemon's sword and Blake. As (y/n) does this he brings his sword up at the last possible second causing their swords to make an awful clanging noise. Daemon then states.
Daemon:"Oh isn't this a treat. I thought I'd never see you again. It's kinda boring when you got no one to torment."
(Y/n)'s breathing is irregular and shaky as Blake asks seeing the difference in (y/n)'s behavior.
Blake:"(Y/n), who is that?"
(Y/n) then answers with.
(Y/n):"Blake, please get as far away as possible."
Blake:"What?!"
Daemon then just begins to laugh again while stating.
Daemon:"Well, isn't that cute. You're trying to play hero."
(Y/n) then notices Daemon move his body to slide off of (y/n)'s blade only for (y/n) to manipulate time and kick him away as (y/n) then turns to Blake and yells.
(Y/n):"JUST GO!!!! PLEASE!"
As he says this Roman takes the opportunity to shoot the ground with an explosive sending Blake flying and forces her to dodge the rest of his attacks. This is all (y/n) sees before he feels Daemon's presence right behind him as he tries to stab (y/n) only for him to slice (y/n)'s side. (Y/n) then lands and grabs his side finding blood seeping into his cloak Daemon then says.
Daemon:"I'm glad you've gotten stronger maybe you'll make a better opponent than your dear mother and that fool whose sword you are wielding."
(Y/n) then shouts at Daemon.
(Y/n):"Don't you dare talk about them. I'm gonna defeat you so you can't hurt anyone else that much I promise."
As he says this he stands there with his eye of Balor active, his whole left eye is open as far and wide as it can. Then without warning (y/n) and Daemon dash toward one another clashing swords multiple times as they both move faster than any normal form of vision can perceive. However, the only reason (y/n) can match his speed is to manipulate time which begins to put extreme fatigue on his body and Daemon notices this the longer the clashing continues. (Y/n) then sees with his eye that Daemon is about to stab at him so he manipulates time once again only for things to go back to normal before he had completely dodged it. (Y/n) feels Daemon's sword plunge into his stomach thus causing him to cough up blood, as his eye begins to bleed causing him to close it as Daemon begins to mock him.
Daemon:"I must say you have improved greatly. I don't think anyone has been able to keep up for so long. It just blows me away that you were the same child crying over your mother's corpse."
(Y/n) then lifts his right hand as he says.
(Y/n):"Don't you dare talk about her."
Daemon then realizes there is a black glyph underneath his feet and he can't move as he says.
Daemon:"What? How did you?"
(Y/n) the begins to laugh as blood comes from his mouth before stating.
(Y/n):"I told you before that I was gonna beat you."
(Y/n) then opens his eye of Balor forcing his eye lid open with his fingers. He then manipulates time as he ends up behind Daemon. He begins slicing and cutting all over Daemon's body causing him to bleed profusely. He then jams his sword through his leg pinning him to the ground causing Daemon to yell in agony. Daemon then looks at (y/n) who has picked up his blade as he says.
Daemon:"Go ahead cut me down. I know you wanna. Do it!!"
(Y/n) then buries the sword into his arm eliciting yet another scream of pain from Daemon. (Y/n) then says with a blood filled smirk.
(Y/n):"You're right, I do want to kill you but I won't, because I'm not a monster like you."
(Y/n) then turns to see a blast coming his way from Roman. (Y/n)'s eye has slammed itself shut not to mention the state of fatigue his body is under keeps from being able to move but at the last second he is tackled to the ground by Blake. Unfortunately during this time Daemon and Roman were able to get away. Blake looks in the direction of their airship until the sound of (y/n) coughing violently gathers her attention at this point she notices his left eye and his nose are bleeding, a lot. She then asks truly worried.
Blake:"(Y/n) are you ok?"
At this point Blake has realized his cloak is more red than white in spatters. (Y/n) then responds very lightly as his whole body is in agonizing pain.
(Y/n):"I'm fine. Don't worry about......"
Everything becomes very hazy as he falls unconscious as he hears Blake scream. (Y/n) then wakes up in a hospital bed his whole body still screaming in pain he can also tell its late but what catches his eye is that his whole team is here as well, granted all are asleep except for one who is reading instead. (Y/n) then whispers.
(Y/n):"Hey Blake."
Blake then looks up and upon seeing him awake she walks up hugs him while whisper yelling.
Blake:"Don't ever scare us like that again!"
(Y/n) is in a state of shock until he returns the hug and Blake breaks the hug and says.
Blake:"Well now that I know your ok, I can sleep."
And within seconds she falls asleep as she seems rather exhausted as well. (Y/n) then just smiles as he thinks.
(Y/n)'s thoughts:"This is my family."
