It's so cold....(RWBY Male insert)

An Unexpected Venture

(Y/n) was actually deep in sleep it's as if he was actually enjoying it. The others had issues falling asleep with just a sleeping bag and pillow for (y/n) however, this was just like when he was a kid, the pillow and sleeping bag were a luxury to him as he was accustomed to sleeping in alleyways. He is awoken from his slumber by his team leader shaking him.
Ruby:"(Y/n) I'm tired. You're up."
(Y/n) just sits up while yawning and says.
(Y/n):"Ok I'm up, I'm up."
(Y/n) then got into position as began his watch. It was honestly pretty boring (y/n) finds himself daydreaming far more often than he should. His thoughts keep drifting to life after he becomes a full fledged huntsman, this is different for (y/n) as he has never thought about his own future especially in a happy light. Between this and watching the occasional grimm not much happens to warrant him waking the others. After about an two or three hours (y/n) walks back into the room everyone was sleeping in as he whispers to Weiss.
(Y/n):"Weiss it's your... Hey guys, where's Ruby?"
Everyone begins to wake up as Zwei walks into the room. At this point Oobleck states.
Oobleck:"Ready your weapons, your leader maybe in danger."
They begin to follow Zwei as he leads them to where Ruby's scythe was.
(Y/n):"That's Ruby's scythe."
Weiss then gazed into the deep hole while asking.
Weiss:"Do you think she fell down there?"
Oobleck then begins to repeat to himself.
Oobleck:"Of course. Of course. Of course! How could I be so stupid?!"
Yang then asks.
Yang:"Professor Oobleck, what are talking about?"
Oobleck then grabs Yang's shoulders while saying.
Oobleck:"We're not just looking for an underground crime network. We're looking for an underground crime network! If that's where Ruby is, we must find her and quickly."
They then began to traverse the cavern defeating any white fang in their wake until Yang blows away several white fang members before spot and grabbing Ruby asking.
Yang:"Ruby are you ok?"
Ruby:"Yeah yeah I'm fine but Torchwick is about to take that train which is loaded with military grade supplies."
Oobleck:"But that's not possible these tunnels are blocked with several tons of rubble."
The train begins to slowly inch forward prompting Yang to say.
Yang:"Well, it's going somewhere."
Weiss:"So, what do we do?"
(Y/n):"I don't think we have much other choice."
They then hop onto the train, and begin the process of trying to halt it. Progressing to the roof of the train in hopes to move to the front quicker. Until Weiss after making a startling discovery asks.
Weiss:"Um guys. What is that?"
She then points to a bomb causing (y/n) to say in a very panicked voice.
(Y/n):"A bomb?!??!?"
Ruby then points down the train cars toward some white fang soldiers as she says.
Ruby:"We got baddies."
At this point the train car they are on disconnects causing them to scramble to the next. (Y/n) then opens the next hatch and exclaims.
(Y/n):"Oh this has got to be some sick joke!! We got another bomb here."
Oobleck then rushes to next to find another bomb before saying.
Oobleck:"They all have bombs."
Yang:"This doesn't make sense."
The next train car disconnects as (y/n) looks back at the explosion and then states with wide eyes.
(Y/n):"Um Professor Oobleck. They're not using the bombs and detaching the carts to get rid of us."
Blake:"(Y/n) what are you talking about?"
(Y/n) then points to the swarm of grimm filling the cavern behind them as he says.
(Y/n):"They're drawing the grimm to somewhere. We have to stop this train quickly as possible."
While (y/n) is having this revelation the rest of his team has dealt with all the white fang soldiers on top of the train. At this point Oobleck gives out orders to the team.
Oobleck:"Me and Ruby will stay up top you four clear the bottom."
Everyone nods as (y/n), Yang, Blake, and Weiss go into the train cars. They begin to sprint through the train car until they are stopped by the pink and brown haired girl who helped Roman escape before. Yang then states.
Yang:"You three go ahead she's mine."
The three then run past the girl leaving it up to Yang. There path is then blocked by a white fang soldier with a chainsaw sword Weiss then tell Blake.
Weiss:"You go on ahead me and (y/n) will handle this."
Blake nods and begins to make her way forward as the soldier swings his sword at her. (Y/n) then spikes his aura to make himself faster allowing him to block his saw attack with his sword which unknowingly to (y/n) deepens the chip in its blade. (Y/n) and Weiss are fighting well until (y/n) set up Weiss for a finishing slash as he kicks the soldier into the air. Mid air the soldier grabs Weiss' face and slams her into the floor before picking her up and swing the saw right at her midsection. (Y/n) then thinks to himself as he closes his eyes.
(Y/n)'s thoughts:"I guess I don't have a choice."
(Y/n) then opens his eye of Balor and begins to manipulate time as he rushes to block the attack with his sword. Which he does accomplish however, after the block the soldier went for a swing to cut (y/n) in half. (Y/n) just manipulated time again only for the slightest second during which he realized his blade had completely broken off from the hilt so he focused his aura into his arms raising them in an attempt to block the attack. Though (y/n) would probably still lose his arms in the blocking attempt, it would be better than letting Weiss die. Right before the saw collides he closes his eyes as he anticipates it but it never came. He then opens his eyes to see a man with a white bird mask (like an old doctor mask) in a black and red duster, that had blocked the strike with a katana. This man is not someone (y/n) remembers directly but his body is telling him he knows this man. The man then with ease stabs his katana through the soldier as he then begins to walk toward the back of the train (y/n) then whips around asking.
(Y/n):"Hey who are...?"
(Y/n) just sees no one there it's as if he wasn't there at all. (Y/n) then begins to pick up Weiss and walk into the next car where Blake is, Yang eventually catches up as they all ascend to the roof of the train. Now all of team RWBY is looking forward as they closing in on a pile of rubble ahead. (Y/n) and Weiss then look to one another and nod as they make an ice shell around everyone as the train collided with the rubble. (Y/n) then opens his eyes as he is underneath some rubble which he then begins to move off of himself. His vision is hazy as he sees the rest of team RWBY doing the same. Once he is completely free from the rubble he realizes they are in downtown Vale leading (y/n) to say as a bunch of civilians gather around.
(Y/n):"Everyone get back!!"
Upon saying this an insane amount of grimm pour from the hole. As all of team RWBY get back to back as they are surrounded.  They then begin to fight off the grimm to the best of their ability but there is just simply too many. (Y/n) makes a ice scimitar with one of his glyphs and begins to fight them, not long after this team JNPR arrives to help. (Y/n) just keeps fighting despite his whole body is in pain and in a state of fatigue because of the eye of Balor and constant damage he has received with his spiked aura for speed instead of defense. (Y/n) is then thrown backwards as his aura breaks, he is now lying on the ground as he looks up to see a beowulf jump towards him. (Y/n) just covers his face and waits for the worst only to hear a minigun spool up, he then opens his eyes to see the Beowulf get eviscerated by a hail of bullets (y/n) then turns to see Coco holding her minigun as Velvet extends a hand to help him up causing (y/n) to say.
(Y/n):"Thanks guys. I owe you one."
Coco then just brushes this off saying.
Coco:"Don't mention it. Velvet let's get him away from here he couldn't fight anymore even if he wanted."
(Y/n)'s fatigue then gets the better of him as he passes out. (Y/n) opens his eyes to find he is back in the dorm with the rest of his team who are all out cold and thus he decides to drift back into sleep.
