Chapter 6-Emily

It was finally Saturday and I'm so nervous but at the same time excited for my date with Luke. He asked me out on Wednesday, and on Thursday and Friday me and him kept texting, him flirting and me trying to flirt back but failing, even though I was embarrased he said he thought it was adorable. Anyways Sophia and my other friend Jonathan are helping me pick out one out of the four outfits I bought when me and Sophia went to the mall.

"How about this one?." Jonathan said holding up a batman muscle tank top "And these jeans." the jeans were grey skinnies plain and simple. I thought it looked cute and casual considering that I didn't know where we were going.

"It's perfect." I said grinning about to take the outfit when Sophia butted in "But what if he takes you to a resturaunt and you go underdressed?"

"And what if they are just going to the movies? Then she would be overdressed." Jonathan argued. "How about I just ask Luke where he's taking me then we can decide what to wear?" I suggested before this becomes some big debate. Grabbing my phone and texting him

To: Luke the awesomest guy ever (he put his name in not me)

Hey Luke :) quick question...where exactly are we going for this date?

he replied a minute or two later

Its a suprise ;)

I let out a sigh "It's a suprise." I told Sophia and Jonathan "Well just ask him how should you at least dress." Sophia said shrugging her shoulders "Fine."

Well how should I dress at least? like casual or......not casual?

Dress as you would if you were going to school :)

Casual it is then. "Give me the batman shirt and the skinnies." I told Jonathan while tossing my phone onto my bed making Jonathan smirk at a pouting Sophia while handing me the clothes "Told ya." Jonathan bragged and Sophia childishly stuck her tongue out at him.

"Ok guys I'll be right back don't mess up my room." I warned before leaving to go to the bathroom. I got in the shower. When I came back into the room Jonathan wasn't there anymore.

"Where did Johnny go?" I questioned "He had to go home because his mom needed his help." I nodded while looking into the mirror at my outfit. "Hey what should I do for my hair?"

"Just straighten it, it will look nice like that." She said while on my laptop sitting criss crossed on my bed and a bag of chips leaning against her leg. I plugged in my hair straightner and waited for it to heat up,

"Hey can you watch James for me? I'm pretty sure my dad doesn't even know I'm going out." I asked her smiling sheepishly as she looked up with a scowl.

"Your lucky James is the most adorable kid in the world." She mumbled before going back to my computer while stuffing her face with chips, I went back to my straightner and started to straighten my hair, even though my hair is somewhat naturally straight.

Once I finished straightening my hair I put on my big black square glasses, which made me look even more like a dork, and turned towards Sophia "How do I look?" I asked her she looked up shoving ships in her mouth "Wow you look amazng." She said with her mouth full

"Eww thats gross cover your mouth or something." I told her which made her open her mouth so I could see the chewed up chips.

Luke texted me telling me he was outside. "K bye Soph. Remember make sure James is in bed by nine, and feed him this time, not just gummies and ice cream." I informed her while grabbing my jacket and some money and heading out the door.

At the same time my dad was leaving for a late shift. "Where are you going?" He asked hugging me "On a date." I said smiling my dimples showing

"And why am I just hearing about this?" He asked with a raised eyebrow, I was about to answer when I heard a Luke's horn honk

"Well I'd love to tell you but....he's here." I said pointing at the door "Can I at least meet this boy. Let me rephrase that bring him in."

"Don't you have work?"

"Work can wait. Bring in this boy." he demanded making me sigh and go outside "Hey Luke." I greeted "Hi Emily. You look great. Ready to go?" "No. Well yeah I am but my dad wants to meet you." I smiled nervously at him blushing at his compliment he looked scared but nodded and I lead the way.

"Dad Luke. Luke this is my dad." I introduced them, Luke looked scared as my dad kept intensly staring at him "Dad. Its rude to stare." I snapped at him quietly

"What are your intensions with my daughter?" My dad asked Luke

"I just wanna take her out sir." "Do you like soccer?" My dad asked ignoring my plead to him to let us leave, Luke's face scrunched up at the mention of soccer "Eww no. Not really a soccer fan sir." a smile formed on my dad's face and he put his hand out for Luke to shake

"Call me William." he said Luke shook my dad's hand. I heard foot steps coming down the stairs. "C'mon James let's get some gummies and ice-cream." I heard Sophia say in a little kid voice but she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw us still here.

"Gummies and ice-cream? Really?" I questioned raising an eyebrow

Me and Luke finally left. "So sorry about them." I laughed a little embarrassed "Nah it's cool, they're funny." He smiled at me and opened the door to the car for me and I got in. "Thanks.".

We drove for a while before we ended up at a bowling ally. "Bowling?" "Yeah I thought it would be a good idea, if you don't wanna come here we could go somewhere els-" "Luke I love bowling now lets go I hope they got my shoe size." I said interupting him while stepping out of the car and skipping to the door.

At the end of our date I was bragging about getting three strikes "I let you win."

"Bullcrap you did not, no one can suck that bad at bowling. I'm the queen of bowling" I said while flipping my hair over my shoulder and rolling down my window "Keep telling yourself that babe." He said patting my knee, he kept his hand while one hand was on the steering wheel. I didn't make to much of a big deal about it but my stomach had a swarm of butterflies in it.

We came up to my house and he walked me to the door. "I had a great time." "Yeah I know because you jumped on the table in the bowling center and said 'This is the best date ever'." He said laughing and I laughed with him "Well you shouldn't have gave me all that candy." "Well I had a great time too." He said smiling, he kept glancing at my lips then looked back at my eyes before he started leaning in and I leaned in to fluttering my eyes close as his lips pressed against mine. We both pulled away and I said goodbye one last time before going into my house, I'm pretty sure I can't stop smiling. My first real kiss!

I did kiss someone before but it was this kid in sixth grade and he ran up to me and kissed me then after a minute pulled away and ran.

"So how'd it go?" Sophia said scaring me "Jeez you didn't have to scare me." I said puting a hand on my heart "Yeah yeah yeah tell me." She whined while grabbing my arm and shaking it.

The rest of the night I told her about my date with Luke before we fell asleep watching some movie.
