Shoot First

"Voight," Alvin said, "Got a call of another bomb being planned."

Riley and Voight both returned back to the Intelligence floor. Voight grabbed his gun and keys, as did Adam and Alvin.

"I called Dawson and Halstead, they'll meet us there." Adam said.

Riley grabbed her tablet, "I'm coming too."

Voight turns, "Excuse me?"

Riley held onto her tablet as she looked at him, "I'll stay in the car but I know what we're looking for." She said.

Voight looks at her and without saying anything less, he nudges her to follow the three of them to where there SUV were parked in a garage.

Riley and Adam were in the backseat while Voight drove with Alvin in the front seat. Riley began typing on the keyboard on her tablet trying to locate the area of the bomb.

"9-1-1,  said it was found near a movie theater." Adam said.

Riley found the location, "It's more public than the park."

Voight sped to the location and upon reaching it, the three climbed out of the car to meet up with their officers already there.

Riley, from the backseat, kept trying to use her tech to locate the location of the bomb. As she triangulate the area, she noticed something.

Riley opened the door on her side, "The bomb is a fake!"

Voight and the others turn to her. Riley, despite promising she'd stay in the car, ran over to the others with her tablet in her hands. Riley tapped on it showing that the "bomb" attached to the car was indeed a fake.

Kevin knelt down to look under the car, he grabbed the bomb and showed the team.

"She's right," Kevin said, "Looks real but it's not."

Jay looks around, "I don't like this."

Then all of a sudden a gunshot rang and hit an patrol officer.

"Get down!" Voight yells.

Riley was tackled down by Jay, and pulled behind a car with him protecting her. Riley heard glass shatter from the car window as another bullet hit the car. Jay pulled out his gun and was looking for the shooter.

"Where is he?" Erin asks.

Jay then points to a building a bit away, "Sniper! There!"

Dawson fired at the building as did Adam. When the two officers hid back behind the car, the sniper fired again. Voight radioed S.W.A.T about an active sniper.

Riley glanced up from the shattered window and sees the sniper in the distance. She then ducked when she heard bullets pass her.

"Someone give me a weapon! I can shoot!" Riley yells.

Jay glanced at the kid, "You kidding? Trusting you with a gun, Riley? I've never seen you fire a gun before."

Voight ducks back from shooting, "Halstead hand her your backup."

Jay glanced at Voight and then reached for his backup, giving it to Riley. Riley didn't take long before she adjusted herself to fire at the sniper. Despite being a bit away, Riley managed to be one of the few to nick the sniper.

"Cover us," Voight said.

Voight, Erin, and Dawson headed up through the chaos into the building to get the sniper. The shooting continued. Alvin, Adam, and Kevin were running low on ammo. As the same was for Jay and Riley.
