Riley was sitting at her desk filling out some police reports. She stopped writing and glanced at her left hand. The ring. The ring Will had proposed to her with rested on her fourth finger. She stared at it and rested her head in the palm of her right hand.
It had been a few days since Will had proposed to her. The first ones to hear the news, minus Lorelei and Grace, was Jay and Erin. Both of which were excited. After that was Hank. He had become much of a father figure to Riley, helping her out as she figures herself in this field of work as well as aiding her in any way with taking care of her siblings.
Soon enough though, everyone had found out. Everyone in Intelligence found out about the newly engaged couple, then everyone at Chicago Med, and everyone at Firehouse 51.
Riley stared at the ring once again and then returns back to her report.
"So," Spoke Jay as he sat down at his desk, "How did Lorelei and Grace take the news of your engagement?"
Riley looks up for a split second before returning to work, "Grace wouldn't stop screaming. She was so passionate about it. Lorelei pretty much predicted it was going to happen at some point." She said.
Erin looks at Riley with a smile, "I'm glad they're happy. They've been through a lot in a year."
Riley nods.
Alvin glanced at his partner, "Have you gotten any word from the PI you hired?"
Riley shakes her head, "No. Nothing." She said, "Nancy and Peter seem to not want to be found and haven done a good job to remain hidden."
Adam gets up from his seat, "Well if you ever need anything for the girls, just let us know." He said.
Riley smiles. She loves how loving and supportive they've all been during this time. Riley grabs her coffee mug and takes a sip before saying.
"Well," Riley said, "Lorelei wants to go through driver's ed. I am putting her through it this summer."
Alvin smiles, "Oh I remember going through that with Lexi." He said.
Riley kept the smile, "Lorelei is a good kid. With a good head on her shoulders. She doesn't need to prove to me how responsible she is, so I think her driving is good not just for her to meet up with friends but she can take herself and Grace to school if Will and I can't be there." Riley said.
"Has she ever driven before?" Erin asks.
"Um, no." Riley said.
All of the detectives gave her a look to which Riley held her hands up for surrender.
"Don't fully blame me." Riley said, "I've only had her for a year. And besides, I've been so busy with the courts to gain custody of the two of them plus working-,"
Jay then chuckles, "Whoa, whoa. Slow down." He said, "They don't expect you to be Wonder Women or something."
Riley looks at Jay, "I do."

The day had been slow. Slower than usual, but it helped the team catch up on paperwork that they may have fallen behind on.
Riley had just come back from lunch with Will and noticed Hank had stepped out of his office, he had his eyes on her. He pointed at her and to his office.
Riley nods and heads in, but stops at her desk to drop off her keys and jacket. When she heads into Voight's office, he came in behind and shuts the door.
"How is Will?" He asks.
Riley sits down, "Fine." She said, "What is it, Hank?"
Hank goes on to his side of the desk, taking a seat at his desk. Riley looks directly at the man. A bit curious to the nature of the conversation she was about to have to him.
