Haunted In The Dark

"Riley?" Will spoke upon seeing her.

Riley was following behind the gurney with Gabby and Sylvie, Riley was holding hands with Emma. Riley made eye contact with Will and just gave him a small smile before the gurney was taken to a room.

Dr. Manning was in charge of this. Natalie and some other nurses helped get Emma off the gurney and onto the hospital bed. Gabby and Sylvie wheeled the gurney out.

"Riley," Natalie said, "I'm gonna need you to take a step out of here."

Emma then snaps, "No! She stays!"

Riley looks at Natalie and then at Emma. Natalie was a bit shocked at this sudden out burst from her patient.

"Okay," Natalie said, "Just give us some room."

Riley nods, "Of course."

Riley backed off but still remain in the view for Emma. The two kept their eyes on each other and the nurses and doctors went to work.

"Can you tell us your name?" Natalie asks.

"Emma- Emma Jefferson." Emma said.

Natalie nods as she checks the head wound she got from her assault, "Do you have a family member or a friend we can call?"

Emma glanced at Riley, "Uh-,"

"Emma," Riley said, "You should have support here."

Emma nods, "My- mom. Her name is Karen Jefferson," Emma pointed at her cellphone in a nurse's hands, "Her number is the first number in my contact."

Natalie nods, "Alright," She turns to a nurse, "Can you alert Mrs. Jefferson that her daughter is here?"

The nurse nods and exits the room. Riley glanced up to notice Jay and Erin had arrived, it seemed Will was talking to Jay but they glanced in meeting Riley's gaze.

Riley stepped forward, "Emma," She started, "I am going to step out real quick but you can still see me through the glass."

Emma looked scared, "I don't want to be alone."

"You won't be," Riley smiles, "Dr. Manning is amazing and you're in good hands."

Emma nods.

Riley takes a step out and exhales deeply as she is greeted by her coworkers and friend. Jay glanced in the room and then looks at Riley.

"So how is she?" Jay asks.

Riley looks at Jay, "She's strong, but scared to death."

"Did she tell you anything?" Erin asks.

Riley nods, "She didn't say she was raped but- the signs were there. I saw the injury on her body and managed to convince her to let me help her." She said.

"So is Dr. Manning going to do the rape test now?" Erin asks.

Riley glanced into the room, "Probably," She said, "I'll let her know that you are my friends and want to help. Maybe she'll feel a bit open about it."

Erin and Jay nod. Will and Riley glance at each other before she turned to the room to return to Emma's side. Will turned around to fill out some forms for a patient of his at the nurse's station, but was close enough to hear Erin and Jay.

"You know," Erin started, "Riley would've had to seriously convince Emma off the deep end if she was that determined to end it all at that moment."

Jay nods, "Yeah. I know."

Will glanced up and then turned to look into the room. A frown escaping his lips.

Riley was returning to Emma's room with coffee for herself and a bottle of water for Emma, when she ran into Will.
