Riley was back at work. She was finishing some paperwork for Voight, she had to inform him about her family since Kim mentioned it to the others that Riley was a witnessed and not to mention the granddaughter to the drug driver.
As Riley came to the break room to pour herself a cup of coffee, she looked at her phone. She saw a text message from Lorelei.
'Riles, can you pick me up after school? -Lore'
A small smile left Riley's lips. She didn't even hear Alvin come into the break room, he noticed the smile on the girl's face.
"Halstead's brother texting you?" Alvin asks.
Riley's head shot up, "Wha- No- No. It's uh- my sister, well technically my half-sister." Riley said.
Alvin nods, "What did she text you?"
"Asking me to pick her up from school," Riley said.
"And that made you smile?" Alvin asks.
Riley smiles looking at the message, "I am just- I never had siblings until finding my mom. Lorelei and I really hit it off when we were in the waiting room." She said.
"Lorelei," Alvin spoke, "Not a common name."
Riley nods, "She's been telling me she's named after her grandmother. She and I have our own respected nicknames with each other."
"All of this after one chat?" He asks.
"Well technically no," Riley said and took a sip of her coffee, "I- uh well gave her my number and we began texting later that evening."
"Hank mentioned you had another sister," Alvin spoke, "You close with her?"
Riley shrugs, "Grace is nine. It's much harder to bond with her than it is with Lorelei. I mean I was giving her advice about guys in high school." She said.
Alvin couldn't help but smile, "Well you better let her know you'll pick her up."
Riley nods and watched Alvin leaves. She reached for her phone and sent a text message back to Lorelei.
'Lore, I'll be there. -Riles.'
Riley smiles as she put her phone into her pocket and left the break room.

Lorelei sat on the steps outside of the elite private school. She saw some of her classmates walk out. Lorelei hated this place. Hated the people. Hated the uniform.
She reached for her phone to see if Riley changed her mind. But still saw the message she got prior, saying she was almost there.
"Look," A familiar voice to Lorelei spoke from behind, "Loser-Lei is still waiting for her mommy to come get her."
Lorelei groans and turns around, "Karen," She spoke, "Can we go one day without this crap."
Karen smirks, "Oh she talks back," After she said that her girls laughed, "Loser-Lei can speak."
Lorelei stands up, "Why are you the only one who harasses me?"
"Because it's fun," Karen said and then shoved Lorelei.
Lorelei fell back on the steps. Landing next to her bag. Karen and her friends stood over her laughing. However things changed really quickly.
"Excuse me," Lorelei knew that voice, "What do we have here?"
