Riley arrived to work the following day. She noticed the board was filled with the investigating relating to Emma. As Riley arrived in Intelligence, she was greeted to Kevin and Adam offering hugs to her. She accepted them, then when she was released Alvin placed a hand on her shoulder with a smile.
Riley returned the smile and broke away to go into the break room. She put a hand in her hair as she grabbed a mug for coffee. She went to pour herself some coffee when she heard someone knock on the door frame.
"You doing okay?" It was Voight.
Riley turned around and nods, "I'm good, boss."
Voight noticed her wrapped hand, "And what happened there?"
Riley glanced from her boss to the hand, "Slipped after my shower last night. Kind of embarrassing really, I guess I was really tired from yesterday."
Voight nods, "I see. Don't get it infected." He said.
Riley salutes to him, "Roger." She said and poured herself some coffee, "Any leads you need me to run?"
Voight shakes his head, "We got all we need."
"So what's the problem?" She asks, "If you have everything then why haven't you move forward?"
"Our suspect claims it was sex and she cried rape." Voight said.
Riley got angry, "You serious!" She raised her voice.
Voight motioned for her to calm down, "Keep your voice down. He is scum and thinks he can get away with it."
"So what are you going to do about it?" Riley asks.
"Right now nothing," Voight said, "But we have eyes on him."
Riley was beyond angry, "You're just going to wait around until someone else gets raped like Emma or damn near close. No one needs to go through that kind of hell like Emma and I-" Riley stopped herself.
Voight noticed the mixture of emotions in her eyes. The young girl stopped her argument and decided to grab her coffee and leave the break room.
"Riley," Voight said.
Riley stopped and turns to Voight, "I don't want to discuss this anymore. Just get some damn evidence on this guy." She said.
With that said, Riley just left the main room to go sulk in her tech lair. As Riley sat down at her chair, and the second she sat down she just felt all of those feelings rush back at her.

Riley was typing her report when she was talking Emma off the ledge when she heard a knock on the door as someone entered. It was Jay.
"Hi," Jay said, "I wanted to check on you."
Riley looks at Jay, "I'm okay." She said.
Jay walked over and pulled a chair next to her desk, "I don't want to get into something personal but we all kind of saw you blow up in there. If you want to take the day and just rest, I know Voight would understand." He said.
"You and your brother aren't that different," She said and then sighs, "If I stay at home I- I'll just focus on things I don't want to think about."
Jay nods, "Been there."
Riley tilts her head, "What do you mean?"
"When I was in the army," Jay said, "Being out on tour, and all the crap can haunt you."
Riley nods, "Bet it was hard."
Jay nods, "It's something I don't like to think about."
"I bet," Riley said, "We all have our own demons."
