Everything slowed down in Riley's eyes that morning. She got the call. She got the call, she doesn't remember when. But she got the call. She had left Lorelei in charge, and called one of the patrol officers to take them to school. Everything was just a blur.
She had arrived at Chicago Med. She was greeted by police and fire fighters.
Looking around she spots Alvin and his wife. They were a wreck and holding onto each other.
Riley scans the room and finds everyone there. She sees Al hugging Meredith and it was at moment that Riley wondered how bad it was.
She moved through the crowd of people, that wasn't just Intelligence, in the waiting room. Her eyes locking on Voight in his spot. She eyes then locate her fiance, Will. He was coming over to give an update, some sort of news.
She walks over, "Will." She says.
Will frowns, "Lexi has burns over 60% of her body," Will looks at Riley before looking at Al and Meredith, "We had to make incisions in the burned area of Lexi's chest to improve her ability to breathe. I'll continue to update you every step of the way."
Before Will could head out, Meredith grabs Will to halt him. She held onto his arm for some sort of comfort or something. But it did the job to stop the doctor. His eyes on the sobbing mother.
"And you're going to save her. Please." Meredith says.
Will hates these sorts of situations. It always makes him feel like a monster because he doesn't know how to really help. It was a waiting game at the moment.
"We're gonna do our best." Will says nodding at them.
His eyes dart away from Al and Meredith over to Riley. She reached over and held onto his upper arm. The two don't say anything but instead just stare at each other before Will is paged to go to another patient. He leans down and kisses her on the cheek.
"See you later," He says.
Riley nods, "Yeah. Love you."
"Love you too." He replies.
And with that Doctor Halstead was gone. Riley was met by the rest of her colleagues and the sobbing mother of Lexi, Al's wife.
Al hugged his wife tightly. However, the hug was cut off short when Al looks up at Hank.
"Hey," Al says looking at Hank, "Now you find whoever set this fire, and I want him alone."

At the crime scene, Riley felt a bit out of it. For one, she didn't have her partner. Al was with Meredith, which is where he needed to be. So for that sense she was with Hank.
"Stone. Hey," Hank says shaking hands with ASA Peter Stone.
Riley hadn't met ASA Peter Stone before, but has heard about him. She had heard about how well-known his father is in New York. Riley could assume the pressure to live up to such a high legacy could be a lot for Peter, given the fact his father is DA Benjamin Stone.
Hank shakes hands with Antonio, "Antonio,"
Antonio let go after the handshake, "Hank," His eyes turn to Riley, "Riley is good to see you. And congratulations on the engagement, wish I could say it on better circumstances."
Riley nods, "Yeah." She says.
Peter only seems to be looking at Voight, "The entire State's Attorney's office and investigators are at your disposal."
Hank nods, "Good."
Antonio raises an eyebrow, "What do you need?"
"Just have your people in Felony Review ready to sign some warrants." Hank replies.
