Chap 13 - Another Incident

Day 30

The next day, they planned to go to the nearest beach in town. It was not far from Yoongi's house so they just went there by walking. Yoongi's mother couldn't come with them because she has to go to the hospital. It was just Yoongi, Taehyung, and Yoongi's siblings. They arrived at the beach after walking for ten minutes.

They all ran towards the water as they went down the beach. Yoongi's younger siblings were very excited to play in the water so they removed their slippers quickly. Yoongi and Taehyung stayed behind and watched them playing happily. It was a very touching scene to witness. The two smiled as they watched.

Yoongi spread the blanket that they brought on the sand and both he and Taehyung sat down.

"I'm so glad that I took a leave from work. This is very relaxing. I don't have to worry about papers and deadlines." Yoongi said as he continued to watch his siblings.

"Yeah. You really need a break. I can see that you're stressed out from work. You don't look so good these days." Taehyung replied. "And you're looking older for your age. Look at those wrinkles." he laughed as he pointed at Yoongi's face.

"Yah. I don't look old. And I don't have wrinkles." Yoongi defended.

"You know what, I'm really jealous of your family. I haven't experienced having a family like yours in my world. I don't know how it feels like to have a mother or a father take care of you. I don't know how it is to have siblings." Taehyung said as he wrapped his arms around his legs.

Yoongi felt pity for Taehyung. "Where are your parents then? Didn't they take care of you?"

"Once genies are born, they are taken from their parents and are forced to live in the academy. That's what happened to me. I was taken from my parents. I have lived my whole life in the academy for genies. Once we reach a certain maturity, we enter school and are given proper education and training. This is the fate of all genies." Taehyung answered.

"Oh. That's so sad. So, you don't know who your parents are?"

"Yup. I don't know if I'll ever see them." Taehyung said. 

"Don't worry much about that. You have your friends even though you don't have a family." Yoongi said as he tried to cheer up Taehyung.

"Yeah. I'm really thankful for that. You're very lucky that you have your family and friends Yoongi." 

"Yoongi! Taehyung! Come play with us!" Yoongi's younger sibling shouted as she ran towards them. She held both Yoongi's and Taehyung's wrist with her hands and tried to pull them towards the others. Yoongi and Taehyung both stood up and followed. 

They played tag in the water and didn't mind if their clothes were getting wet. All of them enjoyed each other's company and this can be clearly seen from their happy faces. It was Taehyung's turn to try and catch the others. As he was trying to tag Yoongi, he suddenly went out of balance and fell in the water. His clothes were completely wet now. 

"Nice try Tae." Yoongi smirked and offered his hand to Taehyung. Taehyung held on Yoongi's hand and suddenly pulled him towards the water. They were both completely wet now. Taehyung laughed as Yoongi complained, "Hey! What was that for? It's cold!" 

"Now we're even." Taehyung said and grinned. "And you know what, it's not fair if we're the only ones who are wet." 

"That's right." Yoongi replied and both of them smiled mischievously at the others. They got up quickly and chased after the others, their laughter reverberating in the air. 

Once they were all tired from playing, they got out of the water and settled on the blanket. Taehyung took out the food that they brought with them from the basket and passed the drinks and sandwiches. They all ate happily while chatting. 

It was already late in the afternoon when they reached home. They all went home completely wet and they were thankful as they went inside the house. It was getting cold outside and they were all shivering because of their wet clothes. 

"Why are you all wet? Do you really want to get sick?" Mrs. Min scolded everyone as she saw their wet clothes. "Hurry up and change quickly. Don't forget to take a shower." 

All of them obeyed and went to their own rooms. Taehyung followed Yoongi to his room. Once inside, Yoongi said as he fetched his towel, "Tae, I'll use the bathroom first." 

"Okay." Taehyung agreed. He prepared his clothes and bathing essentials while waiting for Yoongi to finish. He was about to knock on the bathroom door to ask whether Yoongi is finished when the door opened. His eyes widened as he saw the half-naked Yoongi walk out of the bathroom while drying his hair with a towel. Yoongi only had a towel wrapped around his lower body. Taehyung's eyes were wide with shock as his eyes gazed on Yoongi's well-toned but pale body. 

"It's your turn now." Yoongi said and walked towards his closet to get clothes.

"Oh, yes." Taehyung managed to say as he broke from his trance and regained his composure. He went to get his towel, clothes and bathing essentials and dashed to the bathroom. 

'I wonder what's wrong with him' Yoongi mused as he stared at the closed bathroom door. 

'What happened back there?' Taehyung thought to himself as he removed his wet clothes from his body. The image of Yoongi earlier kept crossing Taehyung's mind. He tried his best to not think about it, but it was really hard. It took all of his concentration. He positioned himself under the shower and turned it on, hoping that the water could help distract him from his thoughts. 

After he finished showering, he dried himself and got dressed. As he was getting ready to get out of the bathroom, he lost his balance and fell on the slightly wet floor. 

"Ouch!" Taehyung cursed. 

Yoongi heard a loud bang inside the bathroom and quickly opened it to see what happened. "Tae!" he shouted as he saw Taehyung sitting on the floor looking painful. He dashed to Taehyung to help him get up. "What happened?" 

"Umm, the floor was slippery and I lost balance." Taehyung said getting embarrassed. 

Yoongi put his hands on Taehyung's arms to help him stand up. He pulled him up gently and Taehyung held on Yoongi for support. When Taehyung was slightly on his feet now, he slipped again and fell again on the floor with Yoongi on top of him. As their bodies fell on the cold bathroom floor, their lips accidentally met.
