Hi everyone! I wanted to give you a little insight on what went trough Casper's mind when he found out about Juliet's relationship with Romeo. I hope you like it, and that it can enlighten you on the way he behaved and treated Juliet.
I've been Juliet's best friend since we were both kids. We grew up together, me, her and Nadia. The three of us become inseparable, where one was the other two where closely behind, and when Juliet asked me to be her Beta I happily consented. I took that status proudly and ever since then I do my very best to ensure the safety of the pack and of Juliet, and that is why I knew something was going on with Juliet that she wasn't telling me about.
I proud myself to be very observant of the people around me, that is one of the things that makes me so good at my job. Ever since Juliet turned eighteen, she's been acting stranger than usual. At first I let it go, she was under a lot of pressure from her father to get married to a guy she doesn't even know, so that she can claim her title as Alpha of the Capulet Pack.
I always thought that that law shouldn't be in vigor anymore, it was too outdated for the times we live in today, and I know for a fact that no one would be as good as an Alpha than Juliet. This has been her dream since she was born. But lately, Juliet has been coming up with these ideas for the pack that even though, if done correctly, will bring peace to our pack, they were quite revolutionary. As on top of it all, she was doing it all behind her father's back and the pack was currently going trough dangerous times.
I know Juliet. I know her probably more than anyone on this pack and lately I can't help but feel suspicious that something was going on between her and the soon to be alpha of the Montague Pack. She acted...different when she was around him. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but I've caught her doing this that she normally never does to a person that is not from her pack. I saw the way she held Romeo's hand at the cabin, and the way they keep gazing at each other when they thought nobody was watching them.
I started growing suspicious of their interaction, for a moment I even consider they might be involved with one another, but they weren't...were they? I let the matter go but it was still embedded deep in my mind, always there reminding me of the possibility. And today at lunch I grew even more suspicious, I saw Juliet retrieve her hand from underneath the table after Romeo hit the table so loudly. When he said he had a cramp in his leg, I found that very hard to believe. Something tells me that Juliet had something to do with his "cramp", but again I chose to ignore it. Juliet is a big girl who can take care of herself, I knew that she would tell me if there was something significant happening in her life. At least that is what I thought.
When Juliet went back for her book, instead of going to class I waited for her. She was taking longer than usual so I decided to go look for her, worried that something might have happen or that someone might have delayed her. When I couldn't find her at the cafeteria I was confused, she said she was going to meet me in class but she didn't pass through me on the way here, so I know that she wasn't in class.
That's when I decided to track her scent. I followed her trail to a storage room, but what surprised me was the fact that her scent was not the only one I had detected. Romeo's Montague scent was mixed with hers and when I stopped to listen to the sounds behind the door, I felt an anger overpowering me when I realized what I was hearing.
I open the door with a bang.
They immediately jump at my entrance and try to cover themselves up but it was too late, nobody could mistake what had been transpiring seconds before I got in, their swollen lips and state of undressed painted quite the clear picture.
"I KNEW IT!" I yell
"Cas????"
"I knew it! I fucking knew it!" I keep yelling. I can't believe this...
